as far as synthesis goes sounds like dnb/dubstep basses
Founded exit.
Sounds can be a synthesis of dubstep, but it is not.

hey man, a doubt. how many db do you put your kick n bass in the mix? and at how many db do you put the main lead or squelchy lead? i know that it depends from how you want loud a sound but i think that usually my bassline are too loud. so i'm remixin my track lately but then they sound to me strange...maybe i used to listen them with the bass loud and so...i dunno. so i ask to you how many db do you put your kick n bass

there is no point on trying to know how many dbs kick should be more than bass cuz each kick has a different energy , different peaks and different rms , one kick would sound good when its +4 db compare to the bass and one could be -1 db , so there is noway u can make a rule out of it , its all in the ears .
I put kick on -10db precise no matter where the slider is and put bass where I feel is right, my ears are judge really for that, but the kick is on -10db always

every lead is different. one might be fine at -15, while another is good at -7. use your ears!

I really like VB-1 but I still have to get used to it and work a lot more on it. It looks quite simple but there's a lot more than that when you start experimenting.
To all beginners I suggest VB-1 or a 3x Osc.

Hey guys, I'm having a sliggght problem here.
I've been trying to construct a nice, tight hi-tech psy bassline! Something like the one in this track :
Or any other OxiDaksi/Crazy Astronaut/Virtuanoise tracks.
I was really wondering what notes do I use? I've been trying a K-B-B-B method and a few eq's and sidechain after it but it doesn't give you the hi-tech feeling! You know what I mean?
I hope someone can reply a clean answer.

I hear nothing special with the baseline, except that its of a high bpm. Perhaps squank up the bpm a little more ?.
One possibillity is that its not sidechained. Instead the kick is very short and ends when the base notes kicks in.
Giving it not a bouncy feeling, but a fast attacking dakdakdak
