a good resource on copyright laws.
a big problem with copyright that ALOT of trance artists share is the use of samples (either text lines, from movies-TV shows-computer games, or sound-musical samples). your composition won't clear unless it's 100% original, and you can't even use a phrase from a movie that you say in your own voice since the text is copyrighted as well.
somebody asked about DJ being arrested for playing copyrighted stuff. it's not the DJ's responsibility but the promoter-club owners. they should clear it with the local org. that manages performance rights. but sometimes the clubs are being asked for playlists and ask the DJ's to provide them.
3rd Q. - Detention before arrest in israel is 6 hours, afterwards they should either set you free or arrest you for 24 hours, after 24 hours they MUST bring you to a judge who will either extend your arrest or set you free.
