well, artists will find a new roots (space safari for example already play at sunset label parties).
deep dive corp will imho release on very high standarts non trance labels. some intergroove distribution family.
haldolium - guess on plusquam.
earth - well, its dj sangeet aka dj sangeet/defolder. spirit zone its his natural home.
the havana boys, orbient, hatler, ohm-g, hippiehaus - lets wait and see.
BUT,ther will not anymore ONE and ONLY label with all this cool music under one root.
thats a FACT.

I think Free Form will be out of it if they gonna change they marketing strategy, they spent too much money on not nessecery promotion campaign , for example Haldolium was everywhere here in Europe , they kind tried to promote it so well, but they did it in wrong places....Free form doing it all old school style...if they will refresh they tactics they will save a lot....
As for the sales, there is a crisis everywhere not only in music market, and still the main problem is copying of cds because of lack of finances to buy them ....
If people can get a right education or at least some thoughts or feelings will awake before they burning the cd they bought for somebody else...then it will be effective...and no labels will find themselfs with 5 different titles and alomst 0 sold copies...
by the moment the sales are really not good for all the labels..well excluding commercial mainstream, GMS sold 15,000 copies of they last album on Spirit Zone....and its a lot! |

I Did'nt know about free From b4 this thread, could anyone give some info bout them?
they seem awfully cool, and i hope that the are'nt dead yet...
BTW, if u start a new thread about free form, plz. mention it here first...

Free Form was started by Dj Nartak and Agimar at 1997. the goal of label is provide different view on psy trance music and downbeats. in opposite to many others labels they are realy innovate in every their release. they took trance to places that noone thought about them. key dance artists - haldolium, space safari, earth, klangstrahler projekt, feuerhake. key downbeat artists - deep dive corp, havana boys, orbient.
Free Formers maked alot avangarde releases, in fact they got the "micro sound" of trance.
they joined some non trance artists released on their label such Oliver Lieb, Avalanche etc.
their strong side were 125 bpm trancey groovers and morning trance as well too.
in 2000 they started their sub label Jubilee records that was found for "club culture for home listening". great downbeats cd's were released as well. also some german jazz legends as Hatler released their stuff on this label.
Free Form also have a monthy chill out night at Hamburg runed by French chill baba. this line of parties was base for another sub label Abstrait Music. with sucesfull serie of releases, La Cafe Abstrait.
in last year another sub label joined Free Form label group - Liquid Sound Design. they released a super chilly tunes with very non reguelar concept behind.
but lets back to Trance. Free Form have two big open air Festivals during the summer time in Hamburg area. their biggest event Lovefield Festival was base to another super sucesful serie of cd compilations. the party itself have a very interesting line ups. tottaly progressive and also alot of Tekno,House, Donbeats,DnB,DuB and also Latino Beats.
their headliners acts play around the globe all the time and give a Taste of Free Form (btw - its another name for their cd serie) to trancers at every places.
in short - they realy innovate, they realy sweet and i will always love them. point.

first its very sad...very very sad
second....maybe it shows that the financial crisis is not only in israel ....
also free form is not commercial label imo so the trancers who love the big karahana wont buy it anyway
its only the skazi bla bla stuff that sells (god mercy)
its only us who likes the "clubby shit" loves this
we love the fluffy stuff but there arent too many of us
about novatekk closing too, well not too much to cry
i really hope it won't be sunset!
