sad news,
a whole country has no record shop selling trance music.
In Denmark, street dance is closed and loud music is stoping all the trance orders.
Is this the end of our scene?
As far as I know in israel most of the stuff coming from europe are not imported.
How we can expect we survive when 2 countries traditionally with big trance scenes are turning their back on theirselves,
IS THIS THE END?
WHO IS RESPONCIBLE FOR THIS?

I have the impression Herc that propably Denmark is not listen to trance anymore...most ppl i know are moving into progressive house... even pioneers of the scene like the Iboga guys or ppl from smaler labels (like ayahuaska) are changing. button line, as you well know, if something doesn't sell on his own why bother to make it sell!
and about if this is the end or not i don't know...this is a matter of taste, at least for me.

Hercules, scenes don't die. they go underground, beyond recognition. people keep the scene alive. laws can't stop music.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

what a sad story. i thought denmark was a Psy-stronghold...

I don't belive in scences dying, unless it a fly-by fashion, and i personally does'nt consider psy to be a fashion.
I guess it means you'll have to look harder for trance from now on.
When u come to think of it, israel is not much differnt (Please, DO correct me if i'm wrong), but the big music stores bring 1-2 copies of very liitle compilations/albums, and for vinyl u have to go to tel-aviv and stuff.

I think psy never was a best selling genre, and infact what seemed to be a wave of interest in trance was just a shift in the way for progressive house... I don't think it'll ever be a smashing-top selling genre...

But I personally will live fine with it, won't you??

Of course we all will be fine, but i think we all would agree that it would better if it was a worldwide big buisness... think about all the Concerts etc etc etc... it could be a great thing!

As for Israel.
Economic situation here is Shit so alot of people can't afford CD's
MDMA (who used to be the bigest trance dist. around) went bust and the new Domo rec. is only now starting to pick up the pace.

more and more stuff is imported form Europe, but only if it has any comercial potential here. and israel has become land of full on if it ain't GMS ir won't sell more then 50 copies.

Sad but true.

but we will still keep on working.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

It could also so be a very bad thing, larger recording companies would get involved and buy out all the smaller ones. It would get to the stage where its about the money and not the music just like any other commercial genre of music. I mean look at rap the most succesful rapper is a white man, do we really wanna see a psy-hollywood!

My point was if psy-trance becomes a world wide business it would become about the money, not that it is about the money
I mean why spend so much money on equipment and shit when u can be like Britany spears and shit like that where they drop one single and get paid millions I know DJ's and producers make there music 4 money but it can't be there only motivation if it was why wouldn't they be cheap sell outs like N-sync and commercial radio?
