where is the question ?
if there is any alternative trance org groups and labels ?
so yes for sure there is, i c ourselfs as alternative trance party org and label, there is some more small party org that follow our vision, the movement is small but we like our stay and enjoy every second!
and here may be good place to say it for a first time - we cooperate with may be best underground club in israel - ha-tzofe club - for our label nights, from 1.04.04, another step in our progression sessions around the full on country:)
and yes, psyzion, doof and may be some others make their own thing!
so i think the original question its a matter of personal view and possibility to c thing in rose or grey colours.  Believe your soul ! |

i think about it pretty different 
trance music may have been meant to alter the mind in a positive, colourful way together with the positive aspects of hallucinogens. i dont know how people really thought bout it that early, i wasnt there. evil stuff does exist in the scene, evil in sense of frightening, creepy, diabolical, and farther mystic. theses leave me with bigger smile than "dark" music (which is often dark indeed...but without dark feeling)
and we are here this kind of people, but the others arent aware of it because we really arent that different

I agree with you Anakolouth-
how can someone say evil elements like frightening creepy stuff doesnt exist in our scene? Just listen to Xenomorph or the samples from Catla/Psychotic Micro tracks! Example sample - '' was the boy dead? ..No, worse, he was lying in a pool of blood.'', or other samples about plane crashes and things. (I call it horror trance )
IMO this stuff exists in the scene, and while it doesn't make me smile and be happy (at the moment) I can see the reasons for it existing. Art is a reflection of the real world, and the real world is not all ''lets be happy lets love each other all the time''. The dark evil side is also a part of human nature- it seems too idealistic if not unrealistic to try to pretend it does not exist.
The yin and yang, plus and minus, whatever one would want to call it, I like this duality in our music. The best most emotional outdoor dance experiences I have ever had had the dark twisted vibe all night, only to come out of the darkness and into the light with more uplifting positive music. The dark music gives more meaning to the happiness. The music tells a story, and the contrasting forces give more power to each other.
My point is that the magic is lost if happy music (or whatever you want to call it) is just being played all the time. An opposing force which contrasts and highlights the power of the positive music is very necessary to tell a complete story.
But what do you mean there is no soundtrack for us anymore?

the music u qrite about is not the music i write about
i'm not talking about dark music (catla/psychotic micro, to take your examples), i'm talking bout evil, diabolical music (to give a famous example let me point out posford's shakey shaker). music like this doesnt exist anymore (thats why i make it;) ). all this dark "fullon" imo is nothing more serious than any other music....the main element...well....or aim....is to let you digg like crazy and stomp hard the ground.
it doesnt need to be fast, hard n kicking for being demonic.....it can even be very laid down, even chillout. all what matters is that feeling creeping upon you.....music which sounds like classical music (verdi/rossi), theatralic, vibrant and shuddering...
hope u get my point. my english is pretty limited when it comes to describe my feelings.....
anyway, whatever music u might listen to, enjoy it, feel it, BE it ! njoy your time

dunno, I think the drum&bass scene is pretty dark & could be considered the opposite to psy-scene?! Instead of fluffy happiness they have gangsters with guns! Could be wrong thou...

its called psychedelic music
everybody is listening to gms, eskimo, melicia etc.
maybe 5 % listen to true psychedelic music
jellyheadz, digital talk, Grapes of wrath, kindzadza, fungus.
Seen what this music does to dance floors

yeh right, its hardly a counter culture...its practically all i see in peoples top tens these days...psycho micro, fungus funk, kindaza, azax, grapes of wrath etc...UNDERGROUND!!

the "counter culture" you speak of is alive and well around the world. look at labels like doof, inpsyde Media, Discovalley, deja vu, parvati, apoxina etc, all from different parts of the world! these styles of music have broken away from the more "mainstream" (although all psytrance is still pretty much non-mainstream music). you don't have to be a part of any "happy hippie culture" to enjoy psytrance, and you don't have to be dark vs light either. it is more about the quality and psychedelic aspects of the music, and the realness of the feelings (not just ritual, habit or conformity).

personaly i dont realy know much ppl that like to suffer from evil music of psy-drugs (exept u ofcorse)
Metal and DnB is not psydrugs usualy (more like Heroin and Speeds) so its not realy psychedelic music
IDM is getting psychedelic and evil sometimes
so i think there never be this counter culture in psytrance for happyness

domo releses fluffy house and progy stuff
way far from what kaz describes and as i see it DOMO not giving any alternative to mainstream shit
DOOF'ers bit different than DOMO's follks by aproach,but again dont suply alternative to mainstream
the music that Evil Doctor described suplies anger and evilness but again, its on Fullon base so its not real alternative also but it more close to the point,but again it becomes to be mainstream
