Don't give us a chair,give us a sofá! ehhe
Maybe a girl making massages would also be good!

wait, you don't want people taking drugs with eyes shut when you're spinning chillout??? I thought that was optimal in a psychedelic chill lounge

It's what I seek in an audience....

you are a chill out dj you are less payed, people feel in his rights to talk to you in the middle of the dj sets and a lot of other craps that diminute the WORK of a dj......

....it keeps them from talking to me in the middle of my sets and focused on the inner horizon.

I always ask for the chair, and they never bring it...           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Speak for yourself g/8...because so far I've never heard any complaints whatsoever about Maux's or mine pumpin'sets and chill-out is what you should do in the first place.
I don't think I'm a cheap DJ for this scene standards, I ain't frustrated, and more importantly, I don't wanna be a trance DJ at all...and infact I don't want a chair either

Instead of getting a chair I'd like to be able to stand IN FRONT of soundsystem while spinning. It really sucks when you can hear your music only on shitty monitor (if you are lucky having one)           http://www.chillumafia.com

First time I played in the chillout at the Glade (Uk festival) - the mixer was on a little table just off ground level and you could sit cross legged on cushions playing your tunes - abit cliched - but I really liked the set up - I dont mind standing at all behind the decks(usual sitaution) - but not a big fan of being on a raised stage - which is what happened the year after & often happens at festivals - you always feel abit awkward when you've put that 15 minute ethno-dub epic on, have qued up the next tune and still have 11 minutes left until the next mix!

I still believe that each one has your own style and there should be no such thing as definitions about how to play, where to sit, which clothes to use, bla bla bla

If you dont have your own style you're gonna be just one more among a zillion and will make no difference

A bit of style and personality is key in my opinion           Smile with your soul!

...ehm...I can't believe that we having fights about chairs, sofas, beds, pillows, carpets and stand ups.
or if it is better to drink wine on a sofa or smoke joints on the carpet and eventually even take drugs, with eyes shut or open...

I agree with Vector and Quasga (yaauuu!)
I personally love to see ppl tripping out while they listening to music...that is what is about for me.

complaining about ppl on drugs and dreadlocks in a psy/chill area is like complaining about too many rastas and skunk smell at a reggae gig....isnt' it ?

defently I would ban from any chill area laughing gas baloons...that bloody noise makes me crazy!
(I hope to not offend anyone with this statement)

the exiting thing for me is that the chill/alternative area is actually nowadays the place where there is some space for experimentation and diversity in our parties...
some djs are pumping, some others are dreaming, some are etno and others go minimal.
and the crowd as well is doing many different things
and actually interacting....while instead in the so called trance floor is impering the absolute monotony.
