weeooooo is so over. Everyone knows that all the cool kids go oooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww and everything else IS NOT DANCE

Thankfully yay will always be OK as its a palendrome. Everyone likes to dance to palendromes.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Speaking of American sound, what's DeanOnomon been up to lately? Haven't heard anything from him in a while. One of the best producers from here IMO

if this topic could be expanded to "north american sound" i would say that Québec sound is heavily psychedelic, not a lot of dark/trauma, and lots of appreciation for psychill. in the summer, its probably the best place for chillout on the continent (from what I can tell; I certainly haven't been everywhere) with even a couple all-chill festivals.

seen a lot of big name trance headliners in QC and the residents are consistently good and symbiotic; paying good mind to building the sound over the course of the night. Also the trancers there are amazing people with bright eyes, big smiles, and strong spirits

I would highly recommend a trip up there if you haven't been.

Fractal Cowboys, Ghreg on Earth, Penta and Myself all currently are living back in the bay area. Ocelot is from the SF bay area, but currently living outside the US.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I think Im pretty much the only one in Reno serious about psytrance, everyone else seems to either think its just another thing for raves, hear the word 'trance' and instantly superverbed supersaw-saturated cheese riffs pop into their heads, or hear 'psychedelic' and dismiss it as silly hippie stuff. Or something, idk...

Somehow even tho its been an isolated evolution, my stuff does have that American tinge I think.           .

I don't know much, but so far can tell that psy from the US is its own interpretation of foreign psy. I understand that American sound is new.... compared to our Earth's realization of such sound creation and sharing.

American ANYTHING is new. (Native tribal "american" is VERY old until our ancestors raped and stole it.)

Each artist takes his or her own lesson from psy and creates his/her own culmination of sound. I think beings from other cultures that have been born long before ours has a unique perspective on the world. Our perspective is still newborn. You can take it as uneducated or as pure. Either way, it is as it is. We just express ourselves (frustrations and realizations) as we come along.

Therefore, YES, the american sound is diverse/incumbent.

Again, I don't know much.
