it s too small for my resolution screen but the ui is skinable, i guess there is probably settings to make it bigger.

and do you like the sound? i have to try it much more to really get a opinion on it but there is some great presets with a clean well defined sound.

My son has been logging in crazy hours on an Ableton Live trial version and now wants to buy the full version. He's working and wants to save up for it, but I'm wondering if there's any discounts or promos available, like student discounts or something like that.

(he's got his work up on soundcloud as RZL)

Thanks

Ableton offers students a discount, about which you can read more here:

I would advise you, however, to keep track of the offers that surface on KVR Audio's Marketplace board ( http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=43 ). You can sometimes find really good deals on Ableton there. I for one landed a deal on the full version for some $150 or so. The Lite version usually goes for $15. (I might also add that Ableton is slightly infamous for their pricing and deals on the same Ableton packages tend to be cheaper through other retailers.)

I remember somebody writing about this store in Poland, where you'd save nearly half price. TimeTraveller took note of it. Can't find that discussion now.
