Normally I dislike comments from users that are filled negativity, so it’s rather ironic that I’m going to write one myself…

As you already know the name of the topic is “that’s it”. The reason I have called this topic that’s it, is because I will not attain another commercial-trance party here in Copenhagen ever again. And I have only been to one-two parties since my festival-tour last summer.

The reasons:

The atmosphere is evil, people using the wrong drugs, girls down to the age of 13-14, it looks more like a drug marked then a party, no hippies, no freaks, only these custom-made-Brian-druggy-kind-of-people, no variation and on top of it all semi-boring-music…

Why did it happened:

A lot of the drug users in Copenhagen suddenly started thinking:

”Hay this music is good with these magic pills, I love all of you, I’m going to tell all my friend ALL about it, wheeheee” (they make me puke, and I love a positive vibe at a party)

Or

“neeewww ahhhh that was a great line, whhoow this dark music makes me feel very powerful and evil, I think I’m going to come to this place again, and bring MORE coke, MORE coke AHHHHH”

Next week:

“I hate those damn hippies, they are always dancing, wear ugly cloth and they don’t want to buy my coke. It’s the BEST, next time one of them touches me I’m going to kill one of them”

Result:
The Copenhagen scene has gone to hell (and don’t tell me it’s much better in Jylland, because it isn’t, I have been there too)…

I think we have to create real underground parties here in Copenhagen, and I know that there are more then enough people to do that here in Copenhagen… The only problem is that we do not all know each other…

And yes I wrote a similar post not too long ago, but as hard as it is to understand it has become MUCH worse during the last half year…

I have said this for ages now... But each time I am spitted on as being the "old" bitter man who ones was "somebody".

The scene is Copenhagen is crap and will remain crap until the organisers start to do parties out of love for the music and NOT to support their own coke abuse.

Indeed, this is not something new at all - its been so for very long now.
And no, its no better in jutland - its just as bad. However, we do have outdoor parties, where the mood is better.

The solution is to go underground, and find groups of dedicated people with whom you can enjoy the music that you love.

As far as parties with official invites go, theres no way you can avoid getting "the wrong" crowd to go to your party.
Also, its often quite expensive to put on parties with big, well known names unless you are not picky with what kind of audience you do try to target...

Solution is to do smaller parties, with more dedicated people, more underground, private invites...

People who REALLY are in it for the music, are hard to find - We must really learn to understand how precious we are to each other and try to build a better network between us, so it all wont just go to hell.

Kind Regards.

Very true,
I like your attitude, “be the change you want to see in the world”…
Actually I’m just about to open an organization (en forening), that will arrange parties and meetings, but we need people with the right spirit… All the work will of course be voluntary, you will only be charged by the parties that you register to. No promotion will be done, new members will come through other members…

You should also take into consideration that the 1st of may party this year was an afterparty for the party at Bryggen (that alone sounded like a VERY bad idea beforehand to me).           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

I've only been to one party in Copenhagen and I totally agree with you. I get upset just when I think of it... There were so many wrong people on wrong drugs. A wasted ***** threw herself around like a freaking maniac wihout any respect to people around her, and hit my arm hard as hell. She didn't even noticed it, coke wasted steroid ****. Danish people seem to like steroids a lot btw.

Yea, coming there was a big misstake... I will never go to Denmark again. Fuck you franz preiz!          Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

Maybe the solution is to stop bitching and actualy organize your own parties, instead of expecting others to work for you, to produce your kind of party (and probably lose money for you, since this is 'underground' of and underground scene).

I love C.hagen, the people there (Nervine) and also the crowd. True, I only had the chance to see the more progressive side of the scene, but the same happens in Israel (for instance) - check out the differnt comments made for the Doof festival (underground) and the Raveolution festival (Commercial).

cheers,
A

Fahed (nervine) is a great guy, but I dislike his parties, not as much as i dislike Conzzept's parties, but it’s basically the same thing... And actually Kristian (HandA) told me that he is considering throwing a out-door party this summer, so he does want to contribute . Believe me it's not like in Israel, because in Israel there are so many people who know what psychedelic parties are all about, so some of them are bound to throw REAL underground parties. In Denmark there are less people in the scene, thus there is less people with the right spirit and therefore we have to be much more organized, in order to throw the right kind of parties…
And my friend I was at the party where you played here in Copenhagen, and it was ok, but definitely nothing special… (Although I really liked your chill-set and Lish’s progressive set)...

Maybe you should not write about stuff you really dont have a clue about

I dont know much about the scene in Finland so I dont comment on it and it's obvious that you dont know much about the scene in Denmark.

Btw.. I organise parties so I believe I contribute... And as one of the few remaning that actually was part of building the scene in Copenhagen I think I have a right to bitch

HandA:
The comment wasn't made to you, since you are (as you say) one that DOES. I only used it as example for the said things, I apologise if I got it wrong.

And secondly, the comment wasn't about any particular scene, but rather about the general attitude of people who like to critisize, bitch and complain about productions that people try to make, and forget that this is leisure activity and not compulsory - nobody forced anyone to attend these gathering (specially when you know what type of performances will be there).
Its like comming to a Brittney Spears concert and then complaining about the 12-13 years old crowd...

Channel - thanx for the commentary about the chill set. These days I don't deal in trance anymore, and concentrate totally on the chill-division. I hope to return someday to C.hagen and perform there again.

much luv,
