...also the plastic sound u can buy like the BigMac or Cherry Coke. so don worry...no jelous just a money.

...cause the money tune how this sounds.

...u can always BUY that sound and your track will be "fantastic" - even if there is no ANY music inside.
...u can pay a PRODUCER and get a GREAT SOUNDING track.

no money? u are the loooooooooseeeeeer!

...but remember, u can't buy your own sound cause THE PRODUCER doesn't know it...sorry.

..then it's time to be jelous..

actually... I can if I want, and it would make me miserable, since I started making music because I wanted to.. No pressure.. Maybe ppl like u Jeto, wont understand it, but this is what art is all about - it is not about copying from Avi Shmailov since he kills the dance floors. I think he is one of the best today definitely - he is a genious - but how many clones we need to hear that try to imitate his sound?

I definitely think that what Trance scene looses by the our, is it's ART. There are no artistic creations any more but more kinda factory line music with no interest to the public unless u dropped some 8 E's and a gram of cocain and that is sad IMO

Yes Yuli, music should be a expression of the artists mind.

But look there are styles, like full on or progressive, and if u want to produce fullonish music it will sound similar to other fullon, but still it is art.

Yeah there are styles but no one said the sound has to be X or it is not a fullon

At least I can see that on proggy scene - there is much freedom soundwise and low tekk is not a bad word

So no, I dont think that those that imitate Astrix sound make art. But on the other hand I think that those that innovate ( like Psycraft for instance ) and have their own footprint that easy to recognise definitely do ART. Too bad there are not too many like artists that do ART, that is all           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

It may all be art but some people need those plastic stereotypes to recognize a particular tune as "full-on" or "whatever".

I've had plenty of first-hand experience with this issue being a more "on the fence" style abuser. Yes, i'm a fuck-up producer who has failed to make that plastic clean sound, a failure, i'm jealous, i'm envious, I should go shoot myself now.

Fact is, producers spend all this time honing their craft and creating a process for making music. After awhile the process starts to show it's consisitency, some overall sameness in the music. Really viable artists alter their process over time to create new sounds and styles. I'd imagine guys like Astrix and Alien Project and Atomic Pulse (and some artists I personally know) stick to their process which yielded fruit in the past (good gigs, releases, drugs, s_x). A couple years down the road, if they haven't changed (the process), then they'll go the way of (don't flame me too hard) Astral Projection (god bless them).

If you've tried to make art then you might know what i'm talking about. I know you producers do.

When Astrix's Eye to Eye came out many of us were asounded by the sonic clearity and mix of ideas. Of course he probably emulated the previous rank (and still) of artists (3D vision school and friends). And likewise artists are using his music as a template. This is why the music becomes so stylized, the so-called plastic sound. It's that in-breeding thing.

Fortunately, there are alot of artists out there and not all of them are making plastic music all the time.
