I just went to see talamasca performing a set. I was really happy to hear him. but i was shocked. he played constant progressive and progressive house even. is talamasca also joining the wave that everyones converting to progressive music? or does a dj play according to crowd. the crowd really seemed like a club oriented one. they really liked it. did he play for them?

I'm realy sorry to hear that, that does blows that a lot convert to a "wanted" style, and not doing the loved one anymore...
But hearing that Talamasca did that?!
I think that my former love to oldies, and some good tunes, rolling back to my mind, due to the sad situation, and changes accouring on the electro music scene...

I heard a short bit of his set on Lovefield and for me that was the definition of full on ... if you think that's progressive we're talking about two complete different terms of progressive. Anyway it's so extremely stupid to call a musicstyle for progressive since all music can be progressive and since progressive means innovative and developing ... nothing is innovative more than for a short while ... that's a part of the definition of innovative.
Cheers!

well I dont think that house music that i heard yesterday was full on. I saw him on samothraki 03 and he was one of my best acts for the festival. but here? it was a totally different set. all i'm asking did he choose to do this kind of music in 3 months(after samothraki) or does he(or to make it general dj's) play for the crowd. i told that the people were more club oriented.

And if he choose to play "house" music or even make it there's nothing you can do about it
Personally I doubt he will ever get away from full-on.

Why can't he do that? It's a free world..... god thank for that.
Every single person on this planet have the right to change taste or try out new things and no one should argue that it's fake!
I can understand that some of you get dissapointed because you like his previous music and the way he played at parties but please try to be a bit more openminded Isen't that what people say about our scene. That's it's openminded? Act as you preach
Anyway I am pretty sure Lestat wont give up on Full-on.

EP - couldn't say it better myself:)
Normally the more people talk about how open minded they're the less they're .... and that is for sure true in our little scene!!!!

I heard Son Kite started making full on and they have a new track in 148BPM called Killer Balagan!
Is that true Seb?
Or is it just a rumor?

yeah seb we are masters of non-openmindness in our little community
Just see how people fight over musicstyles. It's amazing
LOL shahar Now that's a rumor that would stir up the crowds
btw it's kind of fun with all the rumors in our little world... I have heard many about myself and always had a big laugh about them .-) |
