So it was just a rumor about the 5 Japanese girls or was it true Kristian?

And back to the topic, Abatawa, are you sure it was Cedric?
I suggest you check your info very well, if it was a mistake, then Cedric is one guy you don't wanna mess with!

lol that's a new rumor

But I have been accused of marrying a Greek girl even though I would refuse to do that since I would never marry someone with a mustace

Yeah Cedric would come after you while sleeping making you hear the word "killer" over and over again until you surender and write a 1000 times "I am sorry Cedric"

we're getting really off the point. I have full respect for people choosing a new style. I am asking if this is the case for talamasca. I would of course be sad but in the case respect the decision. this may of coruse not be the case as for my second thought if the set is played according to the crowd. i have seen astral projection and infected mushroom at the same place and both sets were also not very much pleasing. there is the case that they put house dj's before the real acts like astral or talamasca.

-Abatwa- u are talking about the dj set yeah? not the live act am I right. cuz if u are talking about the live act I doubt it very much that his music would fall under the category of 'prog' (hate labeling, they are all different, different ppl = different ideas = different music simple) because from his previous stuff all of them would fall into 'full-on' inc. his last album zodiac and previous ones eg musica divinorum. I might understand if the dj set was 'prog' as u said because of the house music that u were talking about.

Tell u what best thing to do is pm talamasca (I think he is a member no?) and ask the man him self           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." Thea Alexander

Are you sure it was Lestat on the decks and not the DJ set before or after his set?

To answer one of your original questions, I do know that Cedric definitely is sensitive to what a crowd wants and tries to tailor his set to fit (as any good DJ or artist should do ). When he played the gig at Lovefield this year, he was nervous that the German crowd liked a more tekno sound and would not be used to his full-on style. So he began his live set with some of his less crazy stuff (then went more full-on from there).

If he knew beforehand he was playing to a club crowd, he might have adjusted his set to play less intense stuff when you saw him.

And even IF he did play a more mellow or housey set, what is wrong with that? Just because somebody plays one kind of music at one party doesn't mean they have to play that same music at *every* party. Why would it be fake or a shame? I think any DJ/artist has the right to be diverse and play whatever music they feel if they can still move a dancefloor.

Honestly, I would probably enjoy hearing some more proggy or housey tracks from Cedric. I find him to have a great sense of melody and hypnotic groove that a lot of other full-on artists completely lack, and I think he could make some really excellent club-oriented tracks if he wanted to.

And BTW, since no denying came from Son Kite, it must be true and they did start making full on!           ---------------------------------------------

The master of administration is getting far out of topic and no one is giving him an off topic sign ... shame on you Isratrance. Somehow I get the feeling that someone is on a teasing mode here ... son kite would never do any 4/4 music in a tempo like 148 ... so that is for sure a rumour.

So Mr Isratrance ... back to the topic or shut up           Smile!

Folders for music have always annoyed the artists but still people need to put things in folders ... it's a strong human behaviour. Like many other things music listening is a part of many people’s identity and image and since people are trying to put themselves in a folder they want everything else around them to be foldable. Remember that I don't mean that everyone does like this but enough of people to make the folder important in a business view.

In all music styles there are always some artists that are progressive and innovative and of course this goes for all different styles of trance. Dado is in my opinion a very good example how much you can evolve the heavy and psychedelic side of trance … like he said in the post above the remix of our track is really something different and very interesting … I was surprised!

Btw … very nice to see you in the forum Fred …. Hope to see you more around!
