Just wanted to ask if any SF Bay Area folks might be able to offer a ride to the gathering on Friday.

I don't have much, but I can probably contribute my share of gas and then some. I'd also be willing to trade labor, such as helping you get your camp set up, haul supplies, and so on. I'll bring plenty of dried mango to share.

I won't take up much space, it's just myself and a pack about 4' x 2' x 1'. I'm hoping to leave San Francisco tomorrow (9/22) evening after 6. If necessary, I can meet you outside of SF, anywhere on the BART or Caltrain systems.

A little personal info so as to seem like less of a stranger: 29 Male, currently working at a museum during the week and a youth hostel on the weekends. I heard about the Gathering through the local Grime/Dubstep scene, and was first interested after hearing that Skream and the BIG crew would be playing. Eventually I saw that more than that it would just be a great opportunity to get out into the wilderness and participate in a community experience.

So what do you say? Email vodeodo@yahoo.com or ask for Sam at 415.574.9299. Thanks much.

Probably the best trance event in US history. deff. a legendary party....

The decor and set up was amazing, and the crew even thought of the little things like.... shade, misters, lots of garbage cans, daily porta-potty cleanings....
and very well oiled infrastructure and crew....
The sound systems were great as well. The main stage had some problems with blown amps, but it was a brand new prototype system, and most bugs were sorted quickly...

Music wise, the flow was fantastic and most artists played very well. I didnt care for some of the jam bands, but im sure some of the folks who came for them didnt like the psy trance
As far as the psy went though my favorites were Protoculture and Sun Control Species. Both very good well done live sets
Protoculture was exactly what everyone expected and hped for from him
SCS was a very nice follow up with some pumping prog/ neo full on tunes, the worked great with the warming afternoon.
Krumelur was quite surprising. I was not very familiar with his music, but must say i enjoyed it alot. Very good late morning stuff, and a nice fellow as well
Hallucinogen at sunrise was very nice, however it was not the best set ive seen of Simmon, and it seemed like there was a certain dis-interest in his performance
Xdream played alot of their older classical stuff, and finished with their newer works. Cant really comment much more on them, as i was in another universe at the time
Sphongle was fantastic and got even many of the jam band hippies onto the dance floor. Really a much better performance for Simmon on Sphongle than Hallucinogen, I think watching him its preety obvious which he is more into
Ott was ok, only heard it from a distance nice but not mind blowing
Tipper was playing as i left and was as Chromatone articulated, was a "super sound ninja"
Pixel however was a big disapointment. His live set let the energy drop quite often, and had far too many breaks in it. The tracks were preety much standard homega fodder, with a few gems here and there.
and a special treat was what i think was a afternoon appearance by Protoculture who played some of the sickest morning breaks ive heard. Ive known for a while that Nano has been working on some breaks projects and this was a amazing taste......

With out a doubt one of the best events ive been to in my 11 & half years of being into EDM......
Hats off to Goaplay and everyone else involved
