Cheers, I know what they're on about now, just never heard it called terrorcore before and it made me laugh...
I'm quite partial to moshing to a bit of gabba at parties occasionally, when the mood takes me. It's quite fun.

My vision of the Psy genre goes a bit like that:
Everything is PSY, then:

. Melodic
. Minimal
. Ambient

..Goatrance(97 is the GOA years)
..Full On(3D vision are the master)
..Dark Goa(Dakr soho, xenomorph, sonus)
..Buttrock Goa(Sunproject)
..IsraTrance(astral projection mahadeva style)
..MushroomTrance(infected mushroom and the mush melody style)
..Fuckedup(BoftB style, Haltya, Loopus in Fabula)

.Minimal
..Tektrance(nuclear ramjet are defenitivly the god of tektrance)
..Progressive(ticon, atmos, lish, human blue, sweden music!)
..Psytek(3.turn, delta, pps project, german stuff!)

I mostly use these style... but again i think EVERY artist has it's genre, you have people who copy other's style and create a genre(im pointing my 10 finger at FULL ON here). There is too much variance... Take Lick It from dino psaras... you got like 9 different tracks with different style in it... i can't name some artist cause they once where goatrancer and now the are tektrancer...
Just listen and appreciate.. it's all good music! |
