Custom traps and corners are built and installed in the studio along with diffusers.
Also put a thick rug on the floor which helped heaps.

It was a tough choice to spend cash on the studio acoustics and not on eurorack modules, but the acoustics had to be done, proper like.

@nectarios

Nice Studio man.. i would love to have some modular stuff too.. but i found out that i can make almost every possible sound with my Teenage Engineering OP-1..

thats why i sold my Moog Sub Phatty.. the OP-1 is super portable and i can take it with me when climbing up the mountains and make some leads or stuff on top of the mountain for best inspiration! Summer can come DDD           _________________________

I had a friend do a brief demo of the OP-1. Great bit of kit, but my priorities now are finishing the acoustics and buying eurorack modules.

Have fun with it mate

Impossible to find rack ears for the NL1 rack + Slim Phatty rack ears, cost double than the laptop stand I used to complete the studio rack.

Lots more space to move the chair now!

Also, the Barefoots =D Ma babies.

Looking good. How much did the raw material set you back?           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

For 16 traps, 8'x2' coverage each (floor to ceiling for me), it cost about $850(Canadian) for fiber glass and $150 for lumber. I had a tight time constraint for use of the workshop, so I probably could have found moderately better deals for both, but this is decent for my area. The frames are on the back of the trap only; the stretched fabric holds the rest in place.

Fabric was more expensive. I spent probably about $700 getting the black speaker cloth for walls and the red patterned stuff for corners/accents. It would have been WAY cheaper to do burlap or another organic fabric, but we have roommates with allergy issues to organics.

Spent maybe $70 fire-proofing as well with a non-toxic spray available here.

I did not have to pay for mounting/etc because they were custom made to fit snuggly and securely between floor and ceiling.

All told, probably about $1700(Canadian), or somewhere about $1500(US) and many, many hours of planning/labor.

Completely worth it, though           Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut

As it stands now. X0XB0X built by Andy Pledger (Silver aluminum case with green LEDs), TR-8 & Analogue Solutions Leipzig-S & a cheap local made mixer.

The step sequencer built in the Leipzig is such a last minute addition, would be better without it.

Beatstep Pro, midi keyboard & Mother 32 next on the list.           Cuntus Maximus.
