Oh yes, these 3 moogefoogers are staying for life. Great sound, great flexibility, hell if I ever start a modular going again, I can still use them with it.
I was thinking about getting the MIDI Murf as you can't sync the LFO of the Phaser to MIDI tempo, I am glad I got the phaser in the end.

Some examples of dry sound. LFO modulating the self oscillating VCF of my Slim Phatty, into the MF-102, you can hear where I put the mix of the Ring Mod in and you get that metallic tuned "clangyness".

The brilliant thing about the MF-102 is that whatever mad atonal modulation patch you put through it, you tune its on board VCO to some pitch that fits the scale of your track and you get instant tuned mad modulation patch.

This is extremely valuable to me, I love it so much, I am going to make some more of that in the studio today

Its also an amazing tremolo effect on my guitar.

I can get kinda close to those sounds with Omnisphere's ring mod, but its missing some character for sure.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

it will probably won t replace good analog ones in term of sound but i would look into uhe ace or diva in plugs.

because they are poorly programmed, alias like crazy when heterodyning, and have none of the intrinsic grit of a real analogue passive ring modulator with germanium diodes. you can knock one up for about 10 quid in parts. i made one back in 1995 and it's still in use! about the most simple circuit you can build. google "passive ring modulator". you'll need about 20dB after the output to get it back up line level due to insertion loss.
