So as it has been siad that such Evoluted psy trance of today (Dark Sequenced Sounds)is nothing but talentless barrage of harsh percussion and satanic noises !!!!
and and which is also terrible ENERGY !!!
For shure they haven't been to a real psychecdelic party yet !!!!
And well psychedlic is expressed by all means differently by all types of creations, as we don't all think a like, take for instance ART Painting everyone has a different view so if you get 10 artists to paint a sunset they will all be expressed differently NO !!!??? .....So you are getting my drift yeah ??!!
Now by all means psychedelic when it all started it wasn't made of showing OFF the most clever musicians, it was simply made by travelers hippies, and made by chopping off bits of tracks,beats, etc from different generes of music put together to create the most crazy tunes for the dance floor !!! for shure it was'nt to show OFF who is the best theorotical musician in Goa !!! IT was simply made for FUN..... and again it was of more of who will makes the most crazy track then who is gonna make the most difficult complicated scales, but then yes some crazy melodies were added to tracks cause back then was the craziest pattern BUT EVOLUTION has thought us that there is more crazyness then adding simply arrppegios to the tunes and again going back to ( Making the crazyest Tune ) a lot of Sequenced Sounds seems to be doing the trick quite WELL more then other (maybe thats WHY most melodic and others are called FLUFFY,music for farries and all sorts simply cause it does NOT REACH the crazyest formula of psychedelics tracks as they should BE ), So again I will say it's all about FUN ,CRAZINESS, EVOLUTION & PSYCHEDELIA and should mention also PRODUCING and who makes the crazyest track, not how many years an artist has been studying in universaty theory of music, not to say that as a chilled i was forced to study a little music(not in universaty off coarse), but shure it's not the reason why a an old psycho like me is producing Psychedelics todaY !!!!
So I hope that this will help you going back to the ROOTS for a while not to hang around there in a time WARP but simply to understand EVOLUTION !!!!
EVOLUTION..... that is why psy trance is where it is TODAY !!!!

I agree Aldo, to make good psychedelic trance music you only need to have imagination and be creative.
Musical skills or even production skills is not absolutly necessary.
I think many times the most exciting stuff comes from 'kids' just having fun exploring the possibilties of the tools at hand today. Experience or background don't count for much when it comes to making inspired psychedelica.
Many time's it even comes in the way.
Psycyhedelic is about exploring new realities, and with too much experience it's easy to get stuck in already tested formulas.
For me a good track can be without melodies.¨
What I do feel is that when there is no groove or rythm really in the track, it's hard to dance to it for me. That I thought allready when brainman and 'you are the alien' came.
And that don't have to do with the producers not being great musicians, but rather that they stick to one formula.
I can say that very rarely a track with a straight bass feels psychedelic to me, even if the rest of the track has exellent parts.
It just to overused at the moment, and therefore a bit uncreative to my ears. I always disliked most metal stuff for the same reason....a completly straight rythm just make me fed up very quickly.
But in the end in all styles there is crap and good and there is different taste.

Just wanted to say that you got a point there bro no need to be a musician to make trance the only thing you need is Imagination and let your mind make what he wants to leasten to and not what others are looking for!!!!
I agree with Spindrift that many great and special tunes come out from kids that are "playing" with the tools as a game!!!!
But taste is taste Aldo what sounds PsyChedelica to me and you can sound normal to another person, I think that like Aldo said try going back to your Roots make your mind make the music and not the people telling you how they want it to be!!
One last thing my friend maybe it will sound abit stupid but as I see it every type of music not only trance should be made will having fun and not thinking about the result only think about having fun & do it for yourself make what you like to leasten to not what others are looking for!!!!!!!

Every One needs inner balance. Hippies were wrong "Love and Peace" is disbalance, thats why this idea never happened.
Trance culture. It has the "dark side" today.
Before, now, or later it had to happen, the balance always finds its way, and i think its better then ever.

Very good point with the balance of things, volvox box. Dark music is indeed an essential part of the psychedelic dance experience. Everybody has got a dark side and by facing that, we can learn about these energies within ourselves and grow from that. I also remember standing on the dancefloor and thinking, wow, that's too hard and weired, but if you keep danceing, instead of running away from it, you usually notice, that it is very releafing to let go and let your body express the weiredness within. The important thing is, that the DJ doesn't only know how to twist everybody, but that he also knows how to guide people out of the darkness. Many times the day has already come and there are still dark sounds blasting from the speakers.

I don't really like this sentence, volvox box, because there has been dark music in trance before the "Dark Sequenced Sounds" of today.
Maybe the dark music of yesterday was inspired by Skinny Puppy and the dark music of today is inspired by metal.

It had dark music before indeed,
What i mean is that fullon was commercial before, now dark became commercial came in front and made a balance.
But balance is not made by dark and light only, there are infinite things not mentioned in the human generalization of the universe. |

If all this 'dark' music coming from Russia and Israel in our days is the future and evolution then sorry but i wanna stay in the time warp...

It's anyway hardly the style of the future, it's the style of now. Who is making the style of the future hopefully no one knows in our scene.
Horribly enough in the mainstream there has manytimes been people who known, because they decide it..... but thats another story. |
