Are those stereostypes? Or are you smoking a big chillum while making a 4/4 or 3/4 trance arrangement he he 
I think an stereotype would be... Trance music produces a bunch of moneyless homeless hippies with anarquical tendencies, who are trying to destroy order. Dangerous music and dangerous ppl. |

1. drugs music. Personally for me trance is not a drugs music, it sounds to me perfectly without this. Who knows, maybe with drugs it will sound to me even better, deeper, but I don't wanna try. So, my point of view on this stereotype is that it is wrong.
2. simple music. I didn't try to make trance, but I think making good trance is not very simple. But of cource in trance, like in every music genre, sometimes there are very simple tracks. |

amm last time i was in a Live Jazz club i didnt see so many ppl on acid or xtz, i even didnt see anybody make even one chillum...

Drug music: It's true. Many ppl and artist use drugs on parties or at home. I don't care; I don't use it, and that is what important 4 me.
Simple music: far from it! It has very complicated stucture. Most of the ppl don't even understand trance and they say that it's very simple music to make. ppl say: "just give me the tools and I will do it in 10 minutes".
imho one can realize that trance is an complicated music only when he will sit a tray to do something on the computer programs.

the way I see it,
I would say making music or listening to music are good enough drugs for me,simple music does not make my head turn, while complicated structured music does, with simple music I might need a drink or 2 with complicated music I will go without !
psychedelics does not mean that you must take drugs, infact it's created complicated so it replaces drugs, Natural Psychedelic High"
now I can put my headphones back on and listen to more Pink Floyd .... see ya !

someone who is actually a known artists told me that if we want to admit it or not...many teenagers can reach high level by working few years on the cubase
and it is like that today
thousands of artists ...
of courese there are some brilliant artists..but im talking abotu the most of them.
i didnt know what to tell him..so came here looking for answers..

Same thing can be said about any kind of music. ppl can learn guitar/piano/drums/vocal and make music after couple of years. look at the kochav Nolad show (like American idol) its the same thing..
I hope u got my point.
One more thing: how many ppl can be like infected (first 3 albums)? How many ppl can be like Simon Posford? Most of the ppl can learn 1000 years and they never will come close to his skills.
There are many crap artist and I think that there is a problem this days that labels release almost anything. The standards of quality and originality is very low.
