ppl who take drugs and enjoy this walk a different way, but the journey is same .
and i never listen to bad music , coz that is the time when u ask this question to urself.
good music , intelligent music is what does the trick for me

Just to point out, one must remember that all psychedelia started along side with drugs (psychedelic) experiences and the roots of psychedelic trance lie somewhere there, so one must not be a genius to realise that people take psy trance as drugs music and if you go to any party and take a look around... Now, this doesn't mean that everyone who listens to psy does drugs, but still these people are a majority within the scene, whether you like it or not.
I don't know about psy being simple music, sometimes it certainly sounds like that, but then again, I can hardly get a tune out of a flute so I'm not really the right person to judge. Anyhow, I like to listen to psy and if it sounds good even though its simple I don't really give a toss. |

amm last time i was in a Live Jazz club i didnt see so many ppl on acid or xtz, i even didnt see anybody make even one chillum...

True, i forgot to mention that i was refering to artists. Lots of early Jazz musicians were using marijuana, opium and alcohol. I don't know what is the situation now. The few Jazz musicians that i knew were stoned.

True true....Anways there are still many many Jazz artists that still use substances in order to excell in their music...
But the thing is tht you don't really need any drugs while listening to trance music...u have to set your mind to it and make your own trip...
I don't agree that it's to be called DRUGS MUSIC.....not even SIMPLE MUSIC....
It's not easy for someone to combine such music beats and frequencies for them to enter every single brain cell....while drugs can do it easelt...

Hey, you know: you're right. And we shouldn't stop people from using all kinds of substances that shorten their lifespan. The sooner they die, the less people there are... We need less people because of severe overpopulation anyways....

now I didn´t take my time to read all other posts but to answer the questions:
1. no and yes. sure trance music can be really good to listen to while on acid or smoking, but, so can alot of music so I don´t think it has to do with trance music so much.
2.yes. over the years I have come to realize that what I thought was groundbreaking once has turned in to a cirkus of people who have no clue about music or sound that nowadays makes the music. most people could with just learning a program for a week and then trying some soft synths for 1 month make tracks that would be released. |
