Hi to all!
We r very happy to announce the first open air trance festival in Italy. It will happen the first weekend of august, 5 to 8.
As many of you know, there are a lot of italian people travelling and attending events around the world, but Italy never had a proper trance festival. We think that our country is one of the best for this kind of events. We have wonderful locations and every kind of natural environments (sea, lakes, forests) and lot of art and history.
We decided then to launch Sonica 2005. It will take places in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy, between Florence and Rome, on the Bolsena Lake. We are doing our best to give people a wonderful experience since we want Sonica to become an annual meeting point for all travellers and trancers.
Attending festivals ourselves since many years, we know what people need to be comfortable and to enjoy 4 days in contact with nature and music.
The confirmed line up so far is:
Infected Mushroom
Simon Posford
Altom
Pixel
Joti Sidhu
Tikal
Psysex
Polaris
Antaro
We will have 2 stages, a trance arena and a chill out area, sound systems will be top notch on both. We will have live and dj sets on both stages.
Our website, http://www.sonica2005.com will be up around the end of the year and more informations will come soon.

Looks like this will be one of the biggest events next year. Great to see a festival in Italy – I’ve been there 4 times, and it’s such a lovely country.
Will there also be progressive artists by the way? Although the lineup looks fine so far, it would be nice with some more diversity in the music (a thing I missed at Full MoON this year for instance).
