The feedback for the single is amazing and you can't understand how happy we're.

The double 12" was sold out before release date and today was 1000 CDS sold out. If the demand is high DS will probably reprint but nothing is sure yet.

Hi, Seb!!!
I have to say "on air" is one of the most amazing music ever created in the scene. Remixes are pretty good too, but they cannnot beat original track. I cannot wait to hear "Colors", and DVD. Good luck with everything. Come back in LA please. Have a party again
Respect!

its about radio its about radio. . . . .

an amazing release from the ever mind bending swedish duo. once again they have shwon that they are one of the most forward thinking artists in the scene.

the original and the ndsa are definitely my favorites. both powerful multi dimensional and overall exciting trakcs but every single one is worthy. amazingly versatile this single and remix cd will take you to the reaches and depths of the electronic world and your mind.

My review

1. On Air (original version)

Starting off with a nice melodic tone, a sample about radio plays, spinning from left to right. A nice kick is introduced, a funky bass line. Funky trippy sounds float around, with a consistent melody shaped through different styles floating around.. We even get a little taste of some old analogue type acid sounds. The kick and drums fade in and out, with some crazy playing on expanding and spinning out the sounds. There is an absolutely insane break and build up. This is a build made of dreams, a nice breaky type flow with twisted melodies over the top. The bass kicks in and is it just me or are Son Kite taking us on a it more of a full on melodic style? Don't worry, they haven't lost their funky proggy feel, just twisted it into something more amazing. Son Kite have managed to bring back some of the crazy old skool that has been missing the last few years, this track is sure to burn progressive and full on floors at sunrise for sure.

2. On Air (Deedrah Remix):

The same radio sample starts of us and continues throughout like the original, with an old gabba type kick coming in behind it. This track starts out in a much more tekno style. Snappy electro snares flick over the top. The drums fade out and it turns into a style more similar to the new Deedrah album, the same sounds are used form track 1, but chopped up into a much more definitive melody. This is like a pretty typical Deedrah type track, not that that's a bad thing We cut out at about the halfway mark for an awesome morning melody, an acidy build up in the background before it kicks in with some seriously twisted melodies flowing around. Again and again Deedrah twists it in and out giving it a definitive full on feel, and making it enough of a change so that the original is pretty much there but in a new groovy way. Deedrah gives this a full on twist that could only be done from the master from Ibiza, here's hoping he plays this at Bliss next week, a massive morning remix here

3. On Air (Lemon8 Remix)

We start off with a the same sample, a nice breaky type drum style is used, building up with the background, before the kick is thrusted upon us . This style seems to have a slightly more commercial feel to it, a more housey sound. Less melody and more groove. It has loads of breaks and build ups, seems to me like the stuff you expect to hear in big clubs. We float through spacey atmospheric backgrounds, a consistent melody that spins around your head... the big middle break is much more a euro trance style, it's not bad but brings back memories of my earlier Robert Miles days... can see this being on the next Sasha mixed cd hehe... it's nothing to bad, just it's much more orientated toward the club scene... an interesting take on the original... probably could've had the time length reduced a few minutes as well...

4. On Air (Future/Past Remix)

An atmospheric introduction, the snappy snare drums play in the background, then we get taken into a dark electro break beat style. Funky melodies buzz around, very much an electro tune here... the synth used here reminds me a bit of drum n bass styles... very different from all the other versions, stepping right outside the trance realm, the only similarity is the atmospheric sounds and the original background melody (and the radio sample of course ). At about the 3'20" mark we get some real old 303 sounds and squelchy effects, reminds me a bit of the old Acid Flash series... again we get the heavy drum n bass type synth, the breaky drums all fused together... probably not most peoples cup of tea in the psy scene, but I think this is a pretty awesome track, gotta look into this producers other works...

5. On Air (Midival Remix)

We start with a nice atmospheric feel, and then in comes some nice acoustic sounds, this is a much more down to earth dubby chilled out version, one fore the ambient fans. It even has the sitar, dubby beats, and very pleasant synths flowing around. All in all a very relaxed, laid back and much more organic version... even get a Raja Ram style flute line in

6. On Air (New Disco Science Alliance Remix)

Here we get a really funky techhouse track. Big kicks, break snares, voices floating in the background all adds up to a yummy start. Very twisted fx used, gives a bit of a harsher feel... it then switches to some ultra groovy bass, and very nice synth lines... this track seems to be more along the psygressive lines, very dark and techy... some nice glitchy distorted fx coming in and out... the big break in this track is probably the next best thing to the original, Personally I love this track as it has a bit of a techtrancey feel, along the lines of Midi Miliz/Spirialianz's groovier stuff... a really awesome deep funky techy version to take us out with a big smile...

all in all I will say that Son kite have outdone themselves, stepping out of the standard Digital Structures style and fusing the good parts of all psy together... whilst all the remixes are unique, the original is great and cannot wait for their new album out soon
Nobody should be without this in their collection

This album is a great new sound to son kite, blending both psytrance and epic trance, to formulate something very interesting. This is the first in a 4 album collection..

da REVIEW:

#1: the original version of the song touchs a type of psytrance that some might call israeli.. Not like the full-on sounds, but more mind controling, with sick new breakdown idea's.. I think the concept is to get this song into the hands of dj's like Oakenfold or others that play that style..

#2: This deedrah remix is just totally insane... Dado really adds his special touch to the kick of this song, while still keeping the overall sound to the original. I Think this is the track for dancefloors.

#3: Who the hell is Lemon8??? hehehe.. he can sure make great music none-the-less. This track has the heavyist kick of them all, more trances, funky use of the sample in the original version, with a real spacey atmosphere..

#4: this dubby track sounds really great.. I have trouble commenting on tracks like this, but all i can say is that it suites verywell the style of the "on Air" theme..

#5: another ambient track.. smoother than the first one (track 4) and even more atmospheric.. Some great innovation.

#6: A great track to end this album, basically summing up the whole album.. This track sounds like son kite themselves.. very proggy, amazing trances..

This album is a MUST if you like prog, a must if you like deedrah, and a MUST MUST MUST.. hehe

My favorite tracks are #'s 2,3,6..

enjoy..
