Dear People and trance lovers!

It’s time for us to perform our third live gig in New York and we’re very eager to play and see you on the dancefloor. We’ve heard that the trance scene in New York have been lowered very much over the last year but we hope that you all will support the few organizers that are still trying to book international acts.

Date: 11th of April
Venue: 57 Thames st, East Williamsburg

Line up:
Son Kite live
Dj Marcus (Son Kite)
Dimitris (TIP)
And more ….

Also a chill out with Dj Seb (Ooze) and many other.

Take care and have a great week

you bastards... have a great time. I will be headbanging at a Pearl Jam concert in West Palm Beach. Hopefully I won't miss Son Kite next time they make it to the states. I saw you guys in Toronto last year and it was probably of my best musical experiences ever.

Any chance you will be recording this set?           Both teams played hard

Yup, we've talked about this party on the forum for about a couple of months now! Everything seems to be falling into place, this is great!!!

The space is not big, but very nice, seems like it is a dance studio by day. The chillout room has a wall of mirrors and it will be really cool to hear Seb's chillout set after Son Kite (I assume that that's when he'll spin). They didn't have any blacklights for the Llopis party, only huge projections on the walls, which was unusual and very cool at the same time.

And while it probably won't be a huge party since the space does not allow for it, I'm coming down with a bunch of people from Boston and I've heard that people are coming from much farther.

We gotta thank Son Kite for coming to New York, it will be the highlight of the year for a lot of people! See you there!!!

Love and Light!!!

Yo Seb,

Is there a way you can fly yourself to L.A that same week ?           Live for the journey, not the destination.

and then from LA to Florida?

Maybe you can warm up for Pearl Jam? That would be great my two favorite acts together!           Both teams played hard

haha mr moderator .. though i feel there might be some argument about who will warm up for whom

should be a rocking party, i guess we'll get there early since everyone's saying its such a small place.
waiting for dimitri's set as well, he'll be burning up the floor ..

Great to see that you're all as excited about the party as we're.
Our plan from the beginning was to play in both LA and SF aswell but it didn't work out with the dates and since we're booked all other dates until the summer it was impossible to take another weekend.
I will probably play my chill set in the beginning of the night since we're playing the son kite towards the end. Maybe I will play both in the beginning and the end ... we'll se!
Take care and see you on friday!           Smile!

Apocalyps ...
Pearl Jam was among my fav bands when I was 13-15 together with soundgarden, screaming trees, stone temple pilots, alice in chains etc ...
I'm still spinning some pearl jam records every now and then ... very nice music!           Smile!

ok... hands down, no doubt about it, the best live trance show i've seen since sun project live in 1999. But before i jump to that, let me review the party... i got there when dimitri (spun) was playing his set. He actually started from a low bpm for full on and it picked up to a cruising 145bpm after a few tracks, i dont know what it was about the set, i think it wasnt loud enough or maybe the bass was off, it sounder weak.... even when he played astrix's day dream, it wasnt as strong and driving as i know it can be.... anyway, really amazing mixing skills, very nice crossovers.... the party itself had a really nice setup, boom to the spectra crew for this event! nice deco and really trippy projection visuals. i cant stress the importance of deco in a party enough, it was done really well. the space itself was roomy enough and small enough to not get lost or have to go hiking several days for the bathrooms. anyway, blah blah blah, ----- SONKITE: ok, i've been told that these guys are amazing live, i've heard all there tracks before and let me tell you that what they do to them at the show is bloody surgery, with precision laser tools!!! the sound system for them was perfect, sometimes with massive sounds, at other points so gentle, your spine tingles. This is Trance! Seb at certain points looked like an octapus with eight arms, otherwise there is no way that he played and turned so many knobs and switches at once... Marcus was commanding the mixer and player with such expertise it was really just fun to stand there and watch. Seb brought out his violin, wow! what a refreshing idea, and such sharp timing on it!!! i thought it was the highlight for sure... they played a wicked twisted version of Sunset Ave and such a long and beautiful Receive part ii....... along with older more known tracks. another great part is that sonkite is really in tune with the audience, at point they look straight at the eyes of the dancers and make sure you head twists off when they play with the console... really amazing stuff.... i've never seen a more into it crowd then this party in a while. after the live act, marcus played a djset with some really nice selection, even throwing chemical brothers and finishing with a smiler of minilogue - billy jean..... they played until they were forced to stop because of the time... the audience was hungry for more, no doubt about it. also, on a personal note, i just wanted to say that these guys are really nice, humble and down to earth. Seb, i really had a good time jammin with you it was fun to hangout together. Yonatan, you missed a good one, i hope pearl jam played with simon posford or something cause there is no way it can compare to this.... now i know what you experienced in toronto my friend.

It was an amazing party indeed and all my thumbs goes to Spectra and the audience! The people were so into the music and it was such a pleasure to play!
I think the variarity of style during the night were great, the people got a nice blend from full on thru progressive trance to progressive house without the energy loosing an inch!
Parties like this are alive for a long time and very needful when you're in the middle of producing your new album.

Thanks a lot all new yorkers (and all of you that were travelling from outside ny) .... hope to see you soon again!

... Yonatan! Sorry that you couldn't make it for this one, you really missed something special!
