Some music just sounds different at a party

For me there is some music that when i listen to at home it really doesnt do anything much for me; but at a festival or party its totally different.....
I'll give you an example. I've seen Protoculture play 3 times now. Protoculture really is not the style of music that i really love. So when i listen to him once in a while at home, it's o.k.
However; every time i see him play live, His music has tons of energy behind it. The music sounds wonderful, everyone seems to be extremely happy in an infectious type of way, and i enjoy his music very much.
I'm just using protoculture as an example.
I dont know if any of you have felt something similar to this before.....

You really think the music suppose to sound the same on home speakers and on TurboSound sets at parties? if it was like that all the parties were at homes.

Different soundsystem,different environment,different energy,feelings and vibes around you,different time of the day,many different parameters.
And because these things work both ways try to listen to Brian Eno's ambient album On Land on a music hall with a big soundsystem and many people around you and try to listen to it on a simple cd player with headphones while lying in your bed in total silence and darkness.No need to say that the second way of listening is a mystical experience second to none,a sacred ritual if you ask me.
Each music is designed for certain purposes,for certain moods and certain time of the day.

Getting a better quality and more potent sound system at home (like some good monitors) and listening to the music in a "loud but still pleasant volume" really enhances the home listening experience.
But open air is open air...

Don't forget also that any good party sound system puts the kick and bass under a fine microscope and you really feel the individual groove of the track, not to mention the power of it! |

Yeap.. the first thing u must do is to get better set of speakers for your place.
If still nothing happens, then start eating mushrooms with friends @home and listen to music on your new speakers.. I think it will do the trick.
If Still nothing happens, move out.. your place has bad energy.

If someone needs mushrooms or any other kind of drugs to enjoy and understand the music then i suggest to find something more easy listening than psy trance.

its all about the vibe !!! So many times at parties i here i track that i didnt enjoy so much at home but seeing the reaction of different people to it on the dancefloor makes it sound different. Dont ignore the effects of drugs also.
