yes indeed
it is interesting to know that flayers were sent to croatia before easter but I couldn't find not even one copy in Zagreb or poster for that (I got my copy of flyer in Rijeka and I think that the flayers were sent to croatian people who played there but some one was to laisy to do the dirty work) and that organisers couldn't afford to pay some commercials on local radio stations (which is stupid).
and also it is very funny from dovla to say that local people didn't do anything, if you went to turist office in skradin you could find a very nice girl who could give you all information needed to visit the festival and the place of festival wasn't difficult to find, you should just drive on one of two roads from skradin and you would get there or you could ask someone. also, people from skradin are not that bad, if you went to the town you would see that the prices in shops, restorans and bars are not much bigger from prices in zagreb and we are talking about tourist place (true, there are two open shops which sell fruit and vegetables and the prices are too too high but every local would tell you not to buy anything there).
alse prices of beverage on festival were normal except of beer. bottle of water is everywhere 10 kn (I'm talking about clubs and other similas events) but you could without any problem go with your own drink inside of festival.
also, people in sibenik didn't have idea of this festival and the posters were on the street on friday and the festival started on thursday.
but this was the first trance festival in croatia so it wasn't that bad.
and I was under impression that we couldn throw open air parties in zagreb because someone didn't pay all the fees and not because of police. on last party held on ponikve (location on local hill near zagreb, you couldn't even find a police) |

well, flyers were in all cd shops in Zagreb (like Planet Music who also sold tickets, Continental Megastore, Mama etc.), and posters arrived only 5 days before the fest.
Anyway, people in tourist bureau in Skradin may be nice, but the ones who helped with the festival weren't so nice, because they took money in advance and didn't do their job (like putting a big curtain on the main floor for shade etc.)
Also, the organizers didn't aim on Croatian people, but only on foreigners |

interesting, in last two month I went several times to continetal megastore and I didn't see any flayers for this festival, not to mention that there were no flayers in iguana or in diesel shops and similar places in and I didn't see anyone distributing flayers in front of otv club and best discoteque, which are the most frequent clubs in zagreb and I did see a person distributing flayers in front of coloseum ...
I wasn't talking about people who cooroprated with italians but about local people who were were hospitable to us, not to mention how some party goers treated apartmens where they were accomodated ...
also, if valcana festival did have posters in zagreb it wasn't difficult to place several posters around the town ... (and I didn't see any flayers in spunk)and yes this festival was intended for foriegners bec almost no one in croatia new about this which is not only foult for the persons who organised this but also the people in croatia who took the responsibility to promote this festival and they should do better next time |

Diesel shops, Iguana, otv and best are really commercial places where young kind on ecstasy go to listen to house, so I think it would be a shame to waste flyers on the places like that (especially when we had very small amount of them).
But they were distributed on trance parties (tribalizer, astralis), where they are supposed to be distributed.
So, If you looked at right places, instead of classy housey cocktail bars, you would see flyers. |

Yep, that´s it.I was speak with blond guy from sonic distorsion crew(i don´t remember his artistic name) and he was very friendly.Police attack ruin saturday night.:-( |

i heard that gms wasn't actually cancelled by the organizer but they "missed their flight" (hmmm sounds familiar) ..any truth in this?

well, I don't know for sure, but Deep Dive Copr missed their filght, thats for sure.
about gms, well... I'm a progressive freak so I prefered Antix, Phoney orphants and Faktor D (who all came and did awesome live acts)
but, gms was supposed to play on monday, and since that after 4 days there was not that much ppl, maybe the organizers cancelled them, but I dont know for sure. |
