I Have to agree with kaz about Simon getting a more commercial sound on the 3rd Shpongle album (not that it's necessarily a bad thing). I have high hopes that his Metal Sharon collaboration album with Merv from Eat Static will be much more experimental though.

That album is afaik cancelled           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

IMHO, Twisted Rec. is by far the most sophisticated, interesting and innovative label currently producing Psychedelic music, let alone “psy”-trance. Younger brother creates absolutely mind-blowing music, always morphing amid light and darkness, thus, creating sonic contrasts, which are so hard to find in our ideological bound scene. One of the latest tracks released by Hallucinogen, in the Grand Tourismo comp - was sheer brilliance – if that’s is generic music, then so be it.

Twisted & G+

w/out those I wouldn't bother with this "scene" any more

sure iboga and ds & plusquam and the other proggy labels release some nice house/prog.. but Twisted & G+ are the ones keeping it interesting

Hmmm... weird. Shows how much tastes can differ. I find Twisted Records to be among the least interesting labels for my tastes. If I want experimental music I go elsewhere, if I want good psytrance I go elsewhere too. Oh well... tastes differ as I said.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

the answer is simple..... avoid them if its so bad.. give new artists a chance .. maybe they have the answer to this chaos!!

Its not a question of 'let them be..'
I am just pondering this phenomena.

But there has been a bunch of replies some which are the usual.. and some actually made me think.
But yea.. was wonderin if *Detox* could elaborate on Goa Gil being one of the most commercial dj's around. See, i didnt mean commercial by the crowd they drew, but the music they played and i dont think gil's choices are remotely commercial.           ~*** You can tell By the way i use my walk, Im a woman's man, No time to Talk***~

everything in this world is just tools for your mind and soul..if you treat them as tools and not be attached to them your mind is free of all dogmas and attachments..music being universal..psy being all genre combining..electro space sounds etc etc..a full on sonic range dance trance element..see it as a tool for for urself to feel free..good music is good music..no attachmnets to style and history of the creater..im momente..bliss            hear what you see *

Just as the 'soul' purpose is to venture new experiences exactly the same principle applies here. Musicians' purpose is to venture & to create new everytime.

The thing is one's opinion cane be either you like it or you dont. But labelling is generalising & IMO thats not anyone would look forward to but it's our freewill.......           We were born naked & grow up to become wicked.
