God told me to do so...

No... I found too few people did a good job representing the style that i dig.

Also it's a great way to listen a lot of music and thereby keep the interest and focus on this scene, which means a bunch to me.
My interest in DJ'ing has been growing since i got my 2nd set of equipment and i still feel i have a lot i could learn. My focus has mainly been selecting the tracks and the order, but i feel i could learn more tricks and clever moves For me it's a great hobby.           www.parvati-records.com

Because no other dj's seemed to understand the power that dark tribal psy could have at sunrise instead of at 2am... Sunrise with psykovsky playing is always a good sunrise

I DJ cause someone needs to school all them people that listen to shite music these days.

On a more serious note, there was no deeper meaning or "shamanic revelation" as to why I am DJing again nowdays, other than the simple fact that mixing tunes and building a set, is a fun thing to do.
I love music, collected a bunch of records, had fun mixing beats I liked in my house, started to make music I liked in my studio, released some tunes, then someone asked me to spin tunes before/after the live set, at their party.

That's about it.

Peace out.

it's funny how different people's perceptions of music are. Pyskovsky at sunrise would make me say fuck this, I'm going to sleep. fast wall-o-glitch in the beautiful morning? *NO* thanks. Been there, hated that.

Also, I am very dubious as to people who claim that they are 'shamanic' djs or are bringing in the next gloriuos dawn of psychedelia with the tunes they are spinning - smells like super hippying to me. That power DOES exist, but it exists soley in the minds and hearts of the people listening and dancing - the DJ is only helping to facilitate that experience.

If you play the most 'tribal' the most 'psychedelic' and 'consciuos' music out there, but you play it to a group of juggalos, what do you think will happen            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

I don't have nothing else to do
Started as see if I can do it and become how the fuck am I not going to do it!!
Pretty good question indeed           Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.

Now that I'm focussing in deep n' tribal house, commercial trance n' drum & bass I do it as I get 3 regular gigs a weekend paying me $600.

It covers my share of stuff now that I'm back studying n' I get paid to get drunk, play music and dance. Oh & meet some top DJ's like Danny Howells n' soon Satoshi Tommie & Anthony Pappa who give awesome tips on using my new digital DJ gear etc.

Beats "free entry & a beer" @ psy gigs           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

I started to DJ because i wanted to play my few tracks and did not have enough music or knowledge to prepare/play my own "live set"...nowadays i actually realized that i can do alot of stuff (loops, samples, synth lines, fx, etc) while djing and play in the same set tracks from artists that i really like...
