that is a good question... hehehe.
i studied music when i was a kid: 4 years piano and 3 clasic guitar. but never got into me. maybe cause of teachers or maybe cause of that type of music.
In college a friend had at home decks and vinyls with progressive house. And that is how i learned mixing but never took it serious and i didn't like that music enough to get so much involved.
And in 2004 there was first Transylvania Calling were on saturday night i heard Salakavala i think. And theeerrreeee when i heard the suomi funk beats i said wow, mix this my friend hhehehe.
but how to get that music?... finally some cds i had.
and summer 2007 was my gang crazyest time and i started mixing suomi stylee and other psychy with just few cd's repeating tunes a lot but wtf we had real fun! Now all of them love suomi music so i hope to bring some artists here.
@rich: this goes also to mixing suomi.

According to me ........Music is universal Language.
I mix music to communicate.......Vibes, Energie, Thoughts, Ideas, and Offcourse to showcase my talent and skills..........

so true only my really best friend likes to play the same tracks like me ... but until now we both played only @ 2 parties so there isn'T a big problem
I mix sounds cause I love it to see people smile and dance and total get out of themselves .... move something in their heads..... |

Thats the reason I started to mix...
Now I love it to tryout things like mixing differnt styles for example adding some amen breaks to psy tracks.. its actually an easier way to be creative than producing own tracks. To create tracks by myself I need to be in just the right mood to do it, to mix tracks is an "everyday pleasure" in my opinion. Mixing is far less stressful but as exiting when people go insane because of my selection... |
