lol ellon , this exacly what im talking about
anywayz what is funny is 2 things here
1.once upon a time , you could recognize EVRY artist on the scene... untill year 2000 or 2001 i or any trance frek could easy tell x-dream from etnica , tsyuioshy from eyal barkan , parasense from eat static. today its realy realy hard , since there are thousands of artists and just few with their "mark" of unique sound and work... today its harder but personly i keep that in mind and never try to sound like someone else (maybe inspiration i can have but this is total diffrence , my usual inspiration is ozric tentacles  live this weekend wooo!)
2.its the same music since it was divided 20 years ago , techno , goa , house etc. but peaple changed the name for it. most "suomi" music was called goa if was realesed in 97.. same for "fullon"... if you realese goa music with 2008 sound quality and maybe make this "wow brake" once or twice 99% of the peaple will categorize it as "fullon"

I mostly agree with what j00 said! 
I remember having this discussion back in the time when I registered.. and the absolute definition of what a sub sub sub sub sub genre must sound like is never really accepted by everyone. It's not like you can get the definition of full on from a dictionary, but of course there is like a "core" for what full on must sound like, but then you can go into dark full on, morning.. bla bla bla bla bla.. darn. forget about it. Acid is not for every brain - only the healthy, happy, wholesome, handsome, hopeful, humorous, high-velocity should seek these experiences. This elitism is totally self-determined.

Though you can find sub-categories in other genres like Jazz or Classical music there is always something (identity symbols) that keeps it under the same flag...You can hear Jazz with Funk elements but its still Jazz. Unless the the Funk takes charge....than its Funk with Jazz vibe
The same happens with psy-trance, where you can find many artists incorporating "other stuff" in their music. The labell psy-trance makes sense if the music, despite the "alien" objects still maintains the identity recognisable has psy-trance....no matter the style!!!!!

Full-on is as wide open as one can get without boundaries.In the late 90's Israel coined it and it meant then full speed full volume which is opposite of their sound now.
Full-on isn't a sound, it's an expression.

today and in some years before we are witneses or releasing dozens of albums and compilations wich is just diferent in the name of the songs and that is all,music lose identity it is just to be like more and more producing and what is final product nobody cares cause for shure somebody will listen it.Problem is not just in that,psy and goa trance should be undergound movement lets say it like that but today is thanks again to full on psytrance becoming popular fancy call it however u wanna to call,so how the things are going i wouldnt be suprised that in some ages we see some psytrance project(full on) on mtw awards.so far i am concerned i am still by the music living in golden old ages with prana,shakta,man with no name,cydonia cosma. not even interested to try to listen something from new production cause everything is the same just the names are diferent,and for the last now we see that some years ago tsyoshi was right when he sad goa rip.. but still i am hoping will get some thing beter for us but....

Before I started reading isratrance forum I always figured that it wasn't a sub genre but more like an adjective of the pace. "Yeah man that shit's full-on in there". Under that I guess i figured it was pretty much all psy because it's fairly uptempo.
But I think it's become something else where you have the psy bassline and kick, but more hard-house type synth lines and more simple but clearer sounds. It's very good to dance to in it's fun and the groove's always there, but I find more experimental stuff far more interesting to listen to. But I'd disagree strongly with anyone who says that "Full-On" doesnt have it's place. |

and i don't think girls just love full on..i have met a lot of girls in ''dark'' partys..ohh and what kind of girls..
the thing about full on and chicks its that full on its more fluffy..and ''dark'' is more hardcore...
also there are some faggs or old guys that claim that they cant dance to high bpm dark tracks..
my fav is dark...but once in a while full on is required..
