Not my opinion, quite a good year so far, lots of great releases. Some positive surprises ( like the new Entheogenic album)

as ever... if you dig deep you'll find some gems

though consider that not all the good music that gets made ends up being released... and also consider how far can the "psy chill" genre travel down the same path without sounding like something you've heard before ?

if the industry was more viable then there might be more labels able to satisfy your desire for quality. Shahar posted a great article that addresses this ...

I for one would love to see more artists and labels able to make a living from their work and to be able to satisfy their desire to create. The more this was the case then the less "so so" the years would be.

there's a great article [and some free music] on the excellent 6 degrees music blog.... check it out...

Thanks for all the responses. I think Andrew has made my point:

"if the industry was more viable then there might be more labels able to satisfy your desire for quality"...

Innovation ain't an easy thing at all, and if an artist can't pay his rent at the end of the month from what he does for a living, than High expactation will lead us often 2 disappointments.

I also believe that's the case....           ---------------------------------------------

Glad to see many people liked Vataff Project. We were a little afraid, as it is not an easy album, and needs time to fully ge to you.

I was surprised by this as I found it instantly gratifying but is still one of my favourites many months on

Me too. Loved it the first time i listened to it, and still do!
