Except the releases I've mentioned above I love listening to nature (field) recordings - bu not the crappy ones like plastic imitation of Vangelis mixed with ocean waves or something but the pure, nature recordings - especially birds signing, rain showers and ocean waves are excellent to chill out and fall asleep - pure natural & organic ambient!
Also recordings from the series called 'Healing Music' like 'Chamane', 'Aurora', 'Leviathan' are excellent and worth checking out!

Aes Dana - Aftermath
Makyo - Yakshini
Jonn Serrie - The Stargazers Journey
Oophoi - The Rustling of Leaves
Jonn Serrie and Oophoi are my ussuals due to no or little beat, and some nice ambient washes and atmospheres for my thoughts to flow off in to.
I also really like Ishq - Orchid as well. Beautiful album, indeed. |

Slumberland (Waveform)
Slumberland 2: Awake and Dreaming (Waveform)
These are atmospheric ambient compilations ...both on Waveform... a highly under-rated US label. Really narcotic, syrupy atmospheres and almost all great tracks. The first one is tranquil and ambient, the second one is more rhythmic...dark hypnotic tribal... but somehow still very 'dreamy'.
I remember playing Slumberland 2 for some friends while smoking a bowl... and they started freaking out from hearing strange noises 'coming from through the wall over there' - I got a little alarmed too... til we figured out it was part of the music
