I downloaded this baby like a week ago and it's been playing ever since, I must have heard it like 50 times and I'm still not tired of it. And this is because there are so many sounds in that you just can't catch them all the first 10 times you hear it. This is why I can’t accept anyone’s opinion of this album until they hear it at least a couple of times. This is not background music, it's not something you listen to while doing something else...it requires more concentration than any other release on this scene in the past 4-5 years.

if you like it so damn much...why dont buy original...???

anyway...for me...it's the logic evolution that shpongle took...very psychedelic, not as chilled as the last one...but much more trippy feelings in it..and who else does a so special lfo/filter work as simon...

but everything is said anyway...and the pro's and contra's cant be convienced here with posts...so..me i loove...thats all i care..

cheers

i disagree with u sputer!

this one is very psychedelic!

and taste changes all the time
i'm sure that if shpongle would do this album like the first one, u could hate it even more...and it was boring(!) and pointless(!).

i love this one
pure psychedelic
sometimes i have the feeling shpongle took midis and loops from samples cds and this is dissapointING.

but good music anyway and very psychedel;ic some of the tracks
peace out

I didnt say its not psychedelic           ..."Be yourself, let your conscience guide you...

Shpongle are scenepushers...The scene needs some extraterrestrial releases once in a while to keep the people interested...and this ain't it. At least not in my view.

true true in my opinion too. this isn't pushing anything somewhere, but i'm happy that i didnt have too high expectations for this in that direction. yet, i hoped to be blown away from the first minute on, but i wasnt. after listening to this a few times i started liking it very much though and now i love it.
it's one huge piece of psychedelica again just like the other albums. it's rich in diversity and ethno stuff that i dig. it's just how a simon p. downbeat album should be. "periscopes of cosnsciousness" is the best of them all imo           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

Shpongle know how to rock, and this time its not exception, amazing album from beginning to end, with this new form of bringing their mastersound like a whole, i love the eclectic vibe that emanate from it, all this tipical music from different parts of our planet and how its put together. BEAUTIFUL!!

Really hope that this isnt their last album

Psychedelic or not is the same thing if you don't like it. Besides psychedelic does not mean to make faded sounds, and all kind of weird effects, psychedelic for me it's to get into a real state of trance were there's nothing but you and your imagination.
You may have the best trip in your life but if you don't feel chilled, relaxed what's the point on that.
As far as I know Shpongle is an Ambient project (sometimes make psychedelic-trance tracks "sixth revelation") but I don't know you, but I hear ambient to chill and to get a few minutes of peace. So when I hear this album, I don't feel chilled at all!!!
In this case people who is saying that didn't like the album is because they like real ambient music (Like the first two albums from shpongle) and now it has taken a change of style, because let me tell you that ain't ambient anymore.

i listened to the album only a few times, so far i can say it has an amazing production/composition, i didnt like that the tracks are so short, but i think its the whole idea of the album and its something you understand when you listen to it several times.

i have one question tho

as a south american, i really dont like "local" stuff such as samba, cumbia, its all over the radio and tv, etc.

do you like it when simon puts brazilian stuff? such as in the 2nd track of the album?

personally i think its way too cheesy, but maybe you european folk think its "exotic" or "different", for me its like hearing the music my grandpa listens to but on a psychedelic album.

do brazilian people like it when simons puts their stuff?

anyways, the design of the album is incredible, the booklet/cover/flyer for the release party is very very good. its an historical cd and there is no way you can put in under the typical judgement, this is not just another cd and definitely beyond the typical bad/good duality.

about the music, i still have my doubts, i think the first cd was incredible, the last 2 i dont understand them so much, specially when they put "latin" stuff.           Psychedelic Trance from Argentina
