Location is the Castel place... a big place, but it was too small.....

lots of ppl shoved in it like a can of sardeens - the famous sentense.

Hallucinogen live was one of the best sets I've ever heard. Tracks that are 7-8 years old, were played in such a way - great powerfull, smartly built..

I dunno - just reminded me of how simon can be awesome.

The big flop wasn't in the sound, sound was ok if you stand in the middle of the dancing area.... the big flop was too many ppl in a too small place.

If I don't have place to move myself, I don't think it's a good idea to party.

I enjoyed Ott,Shpongle and Simon.
then went off.

I don't understand how ppl could dance to alien project after simon's set - it's impossible.

cheers.

I'm more then agree with -trip.
just wannted to add that i dance to alien project to... most of his track where shity but some were nice... and i don't like full on that much... anyway... i couldn't just sit out side when about 2000 ppl dancing inside at 10:00am .

about the sound ... it was realy fucked up... and i mean REALY!

any way... simon was |a|m|a|z|i|n|g| !!! best set i've ever heard...

cheerses and good night... haven't sleeped yet

well, not going to get all technical (don't have any knowledge in that) but from my perspective (just a guy who wanted to have a good time) the sound was problematic...
I mean - you had to stand REALLY close to the speakers if you wanted to hear something and that was impossible coz it was so crowded.
Maybe the original location (near hertzelia, I think) was bigger and would have been better.
Perhaps someone from the organizers can explain what happend and why the location was changed in the last minute.

All in all, despite all the problems I had a great time, loved Simon's set.. it was so different from you normally hear at parties these days... excellent!
Crowd was much better than expected (considering the location and all) and as people said - u could really feel the vibe (or was it the drugs? ) which was surprising to me.           Mighty Fat Records

To all the experts that want a mixing board against the stage as in rock concerts, u r living in a dream world and better wake up and smell something cuz it wont gonna happen from 2 reasons at least and the second is the main imo.. btw i wasnt there

1. Dont know any trance artist that will allow anyone else to mix him from outside except handling the master. This music is soc complicated with so many parts - ozric do u really think there is someone Simon or Ott could trust to do the job for them? And the bottom line is that they have to be ON STAGE and there is where the mixer is - when I perform with Danni it is NO 1 demand - mixing board on stage near me - what to do.

2. If you will go and say yo bring that sound engineer from London that knows Simons mixes by heart and so.. Also possible but u forget something. In descent rock concert, there are FAR more spectators than was in this party. These lives cost probably as much as bringing Machina live in Kesaryia, with one remote difference. In Kesaria u would have not less than 5000 ppl coming and I really think I take the numbers down, and for more expensive ticket.
When u talk about rock concert go all the way since the profits in rock are much bigger, the crowds are much bigger etc.. Trance is still very much underground eventho it seems to be in every club in TA that used to play house music last year           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

this one was the biggest disapointment....
shitty sound. no volume. no place. had a bad time there. the only good thing was lots of great ppl.
i mean i new it was commercial... but you expect the minimum sound quality henit comes to shpongle don`t you?
shame............
jah bless ppl...           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

Incredible show ! Was very nice to meet "faces behind the nicknames".

And yes, it was way too crowded, I would prefer to pay 200NIS and have 1/2 of the crowd.

I can't add anything that wasn't mentioned here, for some point i thought that the whole israeli psy trance community is there, i saw Psycraft, Sesto Sent and Yoni from Psysex i think and even Dj Choopy (who invited him there??)

Yep, also Ofer Dikovsky and Eyal Yankovich.
And some Israeli celebreties (what do they lost there ?) Lior Miller, and Sharon & Yuval (?) from that idiotic TV show - "Take me, Sharon".

Overall, I have only good memories from the event !

Surrender & Ozric@e.om, I agree with every word.
I'll begin with my best surprise of the eve... Brahma! Fucking blown away by the deco. I was mesmerised by that psychedelic fluro art, the party and an art gallery is one and the same, Bom Shankar!
All the rest pretty much disappointed. The Live was anything but Live. Simon's bit was all sequenced (sorry, but I have bigger expectations for live electronica, maybe in the future).
Raja & Ari sound better together than each one on his own. Played a very long set with all the cherries, most of the crowd ripped the dancefloor no question. There is MUCH room for improvement on the mixing part, but I don't guess these geezers will change anytime soon. The set's flow was problematic and very obvious but like I said, many great trax will get u everywhere.
Maili played aggressive from the beginning, big mistake. After so many guitars, ppl needed some mellowdies in the morn'.
Conclusion: There is still much to do in terms of Live in the psychedelic realm, a lot to catch up to (check out 2manydjs/Soulwax Live on slsk).
Get C-ree-Us, be honest, criticism is best when it is constructive (not destructive), get your shit together and Do!

And another hilarious note, they wrote 'Shpongel' on the signs to the party. I found that rather funny           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Yeah, it seems that the people which made those signs, didn't know what is all about and "translated" the name from hebrew.

i thought that was done on purpose cause the signs pointed the opposite way of the party... so i figured it was a genius way to throw off the unwanted crowd...

-----======Re-heya!!!======-----

...Shpongle ...
such good music. such good vibes, such bad organization....The place was crowded like hell on doom.... u couldn't even fart!!!
trying to squeeze to the front of the stage, just waiting for the right moment to shout out "SIMON U RULE!!!!"

DAMN!!! Those speakers!!!! BLAST!!!!!

Brahma did a GREAT deco, as well as robes for the entire crew (girls got deprived...), covering the entire place with just what it needed...

The live gig- well, i think all has been already said about it, but who really looks for mistakes, while trying to keep my b.f to stop drooling over Michelle...

OTT looked like the coolest guy! what was going on with his hair that night?!

The vip area was way to crowded with ppl who talk to fast, cause they dont know where they will go next , but they know its some place they have never been before...
The stairs over there looked as if someone was giving away free LSD, i got stepped on for about 40 time/sec... my tiny finger!!!!

At the end of the day (or the begining of it..) the party was great! the place was well set, the sound was nice, and the ppl were ones who u r not afraid to look at...

c'ya next time...

When the fuck r u gonna get sick, of that lousy TECHNOSHIT?!
Wanna have Chuk Palahniuk's kids...

I think I can best describe this event by quoting Juliette Lewis from ‘Natural Born Killers’ – “Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad”

I can not call this a Trance party, hence I will refer to it as the worst trance event I’ve been to in my life and I have been to a few...

Pomrok & Dayan: you blew it big time, cause what ruined the event for me was organization. To say that the place was overpacked would be the understatement of all understatements. I went outside to sit in the car because I couldn’t even find a wall to lean against. I wanted to drink something, anything, but couldn’t reach the bar, since there were so many people trying to get there and so little bartenders.

Even the VIP area was horrible, not to mention overcrowded too, since everyone is a VIP here. Who has ever heard of a VIP area being closed to the VIPs because it is too packed???

Running out of water at 3:30AM, closing the doors to people who bought tickets on pre-sale / who were already inside because you sold too many tickets, security people who can’t handle the amount of people coming through the doors. All those just added to the general feeling that you came for your drop-dead money and care nothing about the crowd.

Sound-wise, hell, what were you thinking? I can forgive a not-so-good sound system in a DJ set, but a terrible sound in a Shpongle live performance? Feedbacks when the singer tries to sing? Once again, the VIP section was even worse, since the speakers there just made it impossible to enjoy the music, creating a dissonant effect with the main speakers.

If any of the Shpongle crew is reading this please try to check who you are working with. We love Shpongle, we came to see one of the best acts there are, we came to enjoy. You ended up working with a bad organization and it inflicts on you too. Next time, please think of your fans, and force the organizers to work properly, for the benefit of you and the crowd.

Please REMOVE my cellphone number from any SMS spam list you may have. Thanks.

Ohh, and for all the people who said shpongle live was playbacked - there were quite a few differences between the tracks played and the originals, more in structure than in sound - and the difference in sound couldn't be appreciated much due to the sound system.          http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
