I noticed that Infected Mushroom also thanked Shpongle (and Terrence) for the track on the Shiva Space 'Kumharas' comp. Great to see people acknowledging their influences when they 'innovate' a sound.
back on topic; it would be a shame if the Shpongle duo finish with this ablum, but they will immortalise themselves by doing so.

Sure my friend,
The reason that I think you are wrong is very simple;
The gratitude which I owe Shpongle can not be expressed in words, the nights which I have had with Shpongle are amongst the most memorable nights of my life, and quite frankly just thinking of Shpongle makes me emotional… The artists who you think resemble Shpongle are also on my list of true musical geniuses (just add OTT, and hell you got my dream team)… The combination of ethnic samples, dreamy melodies, unbelievable drums sequences and the use of human sounds in their music is exactly the way in which psychedelic music should be…

The hype is in my opinion very well deserved, maybe even understated…

Green Channel and Traveller have my full support in this topic, and i don't understand why people who loves Shpongle music has to be criticized, specially in an open discussion dedicated to shpongle!!! It just doesn't make sense...if you don't like the shpongle "hype", you simply step to another discussion in this forum where you can find your "heroes"...isn't it?  |

There is a good reason why people talk and 'hype' (The Beloved) Posford as much as they do. He has, over the years, made some absolutely astonishing and genuinely groundbreaking music under his various different guises, Shpongle being my personal favourite. Whether he's trancing or relaxing, everything he puts out has a very distincive 'Posford' flavour, which to me is instantly recognisable. And even if you disagree with me - and let's face it, it all comes down to individuals tastes at the end of the day - what you can't deny is that his music really has inspired people to mentalise, fractilise and spiritualise the world over. I for one am drooling at the thought of the new album. And I don't think I'm being silly, even if I am a little obsessed. |

I have a feeling we are going to be waiting and waiting for this one... I would be very happy and surprised if this is released on time. I notice that the Twisted site says their will be some samples of the new album posted soon, but I'm not sure if I want to listen!!!! I feel it will be a real pleasure to just order when it is available and then when I actually receive a copy, just sit calmly infront of the speakers and journey off into Shpongle land once again!!! Can't wait

Oh man the samples have been "coming soon" for atleast 6 months already.. sort of like "Twisted.co.uk v3 out in 2 weeks".. for the last 2 years

I´m sure that this shpongle album will be another awesome one!
But what in my opinion is a bit dissapointing is the cover artwork, quite uninspired and repeating.
