Concerned about the organization, to me personal issues between people don't matter at all so please don't make your hidden-angst personal emotions towards each other public. That would be irrelevant to the forum, but is part of the choices made by those who deal with this profession, no matter how organized an artist can be not all orgs speak their same language.
Do care about wrong "official" information, please if you have your name in the line-up but isn't playing let the people know. If you are confirmed be kind and let us know too.
Thanks for the facts, so far, but I am dismissing/deleting personal gossips - and will not publish the festival in the list yet.

Hi Trancers!
Feel pretty sad to see that rumors are polluting this forum to break people's motivation regarding the Shamanik festival...
Please give the Shamanik team the respect they deserve: they are doing their best to organize a festival like no others did before!
As explained on the french forum (skyforum.com) the festival will happen as described on the flyer: 98% of the artists are confirmed, 120 Kw DAS Sound System on the main dance floor... should be enough  ...
Everything is being organized by the Shamanik team and the local authorities for maximum confort and safety on site.
Buses from Lisbon airport to Avis are arranged from 8:00 to 20:00 starting from August 10.
It's gonna be hot and loud! So let's be positive, get ready for a 5 days journey of freshly squeezed HiTech Trance.
Good luck to JP, Silver, Shamanino and the rest of the team for the final straight line.

All the things are now going well and 90% of the things that JP announced is confirmed in the festival.
Came and see and then you can coment if is true the rumors (i say that is a lie).
PS: don't forget the solar cream, in portugal everyday the temperature are rounding the 40ºc, your bikini or bath shimstock and your smile.
see you all soon to a great meeting and festival with great people, great sound and a great weather and river.

waw...some people on here sure like to bitch and moan like a bunch of old fishwives.
Admittedly, when you hear a bad rumour you start to get worried, i did at one point, but after some very quick checking around it transpired that there was quite the bit of politics involved and most if not all of the rumours where a result of bitterness for one reason or another.
The whole Shamanik crew has bust their balls on this festival and it is going through, bells and whistles and all. Perhaps one or two names will differ form the line up, but it will under no ciscumstance be the apocalyptic failure that some on thsi forum would like to have you believe.
But don't take my word for it - coss at this point you'll have most likely made up your mind anyway - revisit that happy feeling you first experienced when you heard about this great festival, skip the intermittent bs and end up with your feet on that Portuguese trancefloor, pumping sounds in your ears and a massive smile on your face. d*;*b

Good to hear pretty much everything is on target, personally I'm not that bothered who plays the records as long as it's banging!!!
I see that the buses to Shamanik site from Lisbon are now advertised on this forum as running from the 10th of August as opposed to the 9th that was advertised originally on the Shamanik web site. This shouldn't be a problem, just means I have to stay in Lisbon for a night as my flights from UK are already booked to arrive on the 9th.
Can anyone official please confirm when the buses from the festival back to Lisbon will run until? 15th or 16th?

Oh, also, I would appreciate it if anyone has some suggestions as to cheap places to stay in Lisbon as it looks like I'll need a place to stay on the 9th and 15th. This is because my flight arrives on the 9th and departs on the 16th and from what I can tell buses will only operate from 10th to 15th.
