Hi everyone,
Wonder if anyone can help me here? I'm moving to Stirling or maybe Bridge of Allan in 3 weeks: I have a new job that I'm going there to do. This is a permanent move, but I'm going in completely blind and I don't know a soul who lives there!
Does anyone here live near where I'm going, know of any nights in Edinburgh and Glasgow, or know any nice people/friends-of-friends, in the Stirling area?
Any leads would be much appreciated!

I just thought... We know someone called Safi, she's living in scotland. She's really nice, you should perhaps get in contact with her.
Jon has her number, I think??? She'll be able to tell you if there are any good parties...

there was a party in edinburgh just recently put on by a friend of mine featuring Dj Astralex and EVP. nout too big but happening and growing all the same....
cant remember the name of the night and cant find a link to any info on the net but it did def. happen!
plenty of good techno up that way though.  |

Hey Spectro, my name is Nic.
I'm living in Edinburgh at the moment, i'm from South Africa, i've been living here about a year and a half now. I was really into the trance scene at home, a few of my friend produce music there, mostly for South African lables like Nano and Timecode and stuff, but i've lost touch with the scene a bit since i've been here, i've only been to ONE party in Edinburgh since i arrived, just can't find them anywhere, maybe if we joined forces we might have better luck finding them! I'll be in Edinburgh till May/June next year, then i'm off traveling. If you send me a private message if you get this, then i can send you my email address and we can meet up when you come in Feb. don't know what you mean by "Are you Connected"?? so let me know in the PM. Prepare for some pretty cold weather though my man!

Hi,
The party in Edinburgh is definitely called Indigitous - I put it on.
The next one is on Thurs 5th Feb and so far the line up is unconfirmed but its sure to be another good laugh and I hope to see you all there.
I also met some guy the other day who claimed he was going to put on weekly parties at Ego, the first night is apparently going to be in March with Scorb playing live. Could be bullshit but I'll keep you posted if I hear more.

To all those looking for a trance party in Scotland we are putting on Indigitous on Thusday 5th Feb at The Venue, Carlton Road.
It can only go onto until 3am, but that's just the way it is up here unfortunately, it's only £5.
10.30-12 Disco Stu (Neo-Progressive)
12-1 Pagan (Fuck knows!)
1 -2 The Grommitt (Fully having it!)
2 - 3 Psyketrix (Comical!)
No big names unfortunately, but good tunes guaranteed all the same.
It'll be a lot of fun as always, and I hope to see all of you guys who have left a message here on the night.

I'm from Edinburgh - lived here for over 8 years now.
There used to be quite a vibrant scene in Edinburgh a few years back. We had a mid-week night called Vortex and a great monthly night called Phosphorescence (I believe some of the DJs who spun there have posted on this thread).
Does anyone know why Phosp closed? Used to be a cracking night, albeit badly promoted and with virtually no guest DJs.
I'll definately be checking out Indigitous...thanks for the details guys. |
