Wish i knew the road conditions before i left my house...You all said no rain had hit the area......Did not look like that to me...the whole area was drenched......
It would have changed all my plans!
The road was crazy....people should have been told what to expect........
Even a 4x4 had a rough time getting up that road...I never made it to the party.
Heard it was realy nice.
Hope i have better luck next time, and i hope all the people made it out safely.
Thanks anyways.peace......

the party was dope. The road was pretty gnarly but I managed it in a corolla ok. I hope everybody managed to get out safely... There was bumping wicked sets from all the djs, you all put it down.
great party overall except for the slightly hazerdous road.

Sorry to all those who couldn't make it. The mud was unexpected, but we tried to make it anyway. Eventually my car slid out and pinned itself sunggly against a mud wall on the right and there it sat while we grabbed a backpack and caught a ride with a 4x4 heading up. swore to myself I will never own a 2x2 again.
Saw Brad's van halfway up, but heard the sound got unloaded and safely transported up.

When we arrived Mubali was laying down psychedlic lines that didn't stop all night as Bhodi and Hidro coninued with the doses. The morning. Sunrise. Benza. What a perfect time for him. Grooving, funky, with those trademark Benza sounds swimming all around. My girlfriend Elizabeth said that was the best psytrance she'd ever heard, which is saying a lot, believe me. The guy has so much fun playing and has such a good energy. really special guy. hope he comes back to play here again someday.
and I have to give props to Lucinda (Gwyn) for a pretty impressive set, especially that first track after Benza. that was badass.
We went for a hike after Gwyn's set, really beautiful land up there. When we got back, I think it was Paradigm, banging some full on. good shit.

Dai, thanks again for all your help. Chris and Tom pulled us out of the ditch and I reversed the rest of the way down the road without any problem. All I can say is, to me, this is what makes an outdoor party well rounded. We're pretty comfortable with the Ranch situation which kinda spoils us. There's something really fullfilling about having to get muddy and sweat a little at an outdoor party like this. Makes you appreciate the whole experience a little more.

incredible!, im still buzzing, this was my first time out to the ranch, regardless of the mud it went off. I agree theres something fufilling about the hazardous journey through muddy roads and rain, its like a test of dedication. I went for a walk at sunrise, the terrain looked like some kind of medievil wasteland, being off the power/phone grid was intresting as well.

The mud was unexpwcted which made it so difficult to get the location.
I could catch sets from Bodhi, Benza, Lucinda, paradigm.....good music....especially paradigm blew me away...so many good mornig trax with solid mixing.           Tell me what you listen, and I'll tell you what you are.

This party was absolutely incredible. Best vibe I've ever felt at a party.

The roads were a bit slippery as if driving on a bit of snow, but definitely managable. We had a few cars stuck, but we also had a few trucks ready to pull anyone out(mastered by Jason Walsh), which we did. We had about one hundred cars parked in the entire area, including funky rides like a VW bus and little cars like some low-lying hondas that all made it up just fine. You just had to brave them and know how to drive them, I guess, which the great majority of people did. Alot of people who didn't feel like taking the roads on actually parked there cars on the bottom where the dirt road starts and just hitched a ride up. Some shuttles had 5-10 people in the back.

I hope that there weren't too many people that got scared off by the roads, and I apologize if they did, the road check 2 days before was perfect and the mud was definitely not expected. But as far as the turnout goes I couldn't have asked for anything better. I was not about to cancel the party just for a bit of mud in the road--fuck that.

The skies were absolutely clear and gorgeous! There were soooo many stars. It was not below 42 degrees. Optimum conditions for the time of year.

The music was by far the best I have EVER heard at a party. Infinite props to BENZA, who is a master at the morning sound. His keyboarding is insane. Paradigm and Dropzone played awesome sets in the morning as well. I can't get over how well the nightime sounded. All the music was connected perfectly, as if all the artists and DJs had coordinated with each other to create a giant composition of moods and emotions to go along with the time of night and day. Stunningly brilliant!

The main thing I've learned here is that when a party has a bit of a challenge to make it there, it makes the party that much better.

Love to all who made it and also to those who tried to make it and intended to go!
