What a great topic to rejoin the forum!
Im going there for sure and would like some help from our greek friends - what will be cheaper - a boat from athens to samothraki or a train from tsaloniki? if you can even gime me estimated prices that would rock so much. Thanks and have a great festival wherever ure goin!  ) |

Just about to get my passport back from the H.P.D.... (long story).... Looks like I am gonna be there too , from Israel... Haven't been to a festival in years....

OK, it's official. I'm going to Samothraki. Big Israeli group starting to form here with lots of really great people. The only problem left is... how can I keep dancing the entire festival without sleeping or eating?! Too many acts/DJs I can't miss 
Hallucinogen, Prometheus, Younger Brother, Electric Universe, Tristan, Saiko Pod. Talking about a religious experience here

Very X-cited at the determination but how the heck do you plan to get there?
Is there a direct flight from our Greek forsaken land?
The cheapest route I found for know is about $350 with a plane, bus and ferry. That translates to landing in Istanbul then bus to Alex.. and then ferry to the Island. Ruefully, around 12 hours from landing in Istanbul till getting to the spot.
Any other cheap and creative suggestion? (feel free to share)
Is there a direct charter flight being organized?
Gil mentioned something but nothing pragmatic.
