hmmm...not what i expected but its better than nothin'.

what ever happened "psytrance outside and infected at 1am inside????" all i heard was like 2 hours of proper trance and the rest was just kandi kids havin' a good time i guess.

was hopin' that they would atleast play ONE track from the gathering but "no no...nothin' like that"...the new stuff sounds alright but seems like infected has gone downhill as each album came out.

tho i must say that somethin' is better than nothin' so all in all..im glad i ended up makin' it to this party...was good while it lasted and ended just as i was gettin' started to have a good time...and to top it all off...some freaks got into a fight outside and that totally killed what little vibe was left...

anyway...good goin' for a first party in DC and hope therez lots more to come!:)           "Om is bow, the arrow is soul,
Brahma is the arrow's goal,
It must be struck unswervingly."

I thought it was spectacular. It was the greatest night of my life. My god these guys can put on a freaking show. I almost passed out from dancing. I also took pictures with Duvdev and Erez(a total of 3 pictures), and I got them to autograph my classical mushroom cd. These are some cool guys, BTW. They always had a smile on their faces, LOL.

If you don't like infected's new style(starting with B.P. Empire style),then why on earth did you even bother to goto the show?

You should've known that they were only going to play mostly new stuff.

Makes no sense to me why you even bothered to go(you should've saved your money for the cpu/logic bomb show in NYC this july).

Infected's new style is fantastic. Medduze blew me away. They also played remixes to shakawkaw(vibetribe remix),I wish(skazi remix), remix to some J-viewz song, Cities of the Future, Horus the Chorus, I'm the Superviza, Ratio Shamatio, and some other new songs which were all great tunes IMO.

BTW, they had alot of HOT chicks there. I saw some oriental chick with a nice set of boobies when infected was playing(She had a white shirt on. She didn't look like she was from america). I would've liked to danced with her, but alas, she had a boyfriend .

That sucked ass right there.

-Overall, it was great. Cyzum, you guys did a nice job. Congrats, bro.

-The DNB guys who were spinning on the second floor were great as well.

Spectacular show. The trip from miami to DC was worth it.

L8r peeps,

Honesly the promoters should not have advertized Infected to be the main event. The event started at 9pm and they came on at 2:30 and stopped playing at 4am. One and a half hour was all the time they got to play and i think that is ridiculous. They played the least amount of time and were supposed to be the main attraction. Its sad that people are gettin ripped off in the US by such promotors and artists.
The set they played was decent however. Nothin close to anything as good as 'the gathering'. I think 'The gathering' and classical was the when infected hit their peak and have moved on from psy and goa to a mix of progresssive and trance and techno sounds. It is good music for the newly born trance interest in the US, but I hope they dont play sets like this the next time they come to goa. Peace.

As far as goa parties go, this might not have been the most spectacular. As far as a live act, Infected Mushroom might not have totally blown me away.

But for a party in the DC area, to a whole room full of jaded ravers, and drum'n'bass heads, this party was a PERFECT introduction to goa/psytrance.

In all my time at that venue I have *NEVER* seen people go apeshit like that, I have never seen shock and curiosity turn so quickly into all-out selfless energy that, for me, characterizes the goa vibe.

I'm not sure what I expected and hoped for from that party, but whatever it was I know without a doubt that my expectations were exceeded several times over.

"music with more muscle"

heh, welcome to goa DC. Welcome. =3

We would've like them to play all night, but unfortunately the club had to close at 4am. Next time we are going to try and get them to stay open until 6.

If you can just be patient, it would be great. We are working very hard to get the psytrance scene going in this area, so we completely understand your concerns. We would've liked the main room to open at 9 w/ psytrance and go till 7am, but unfortunately that is beyond our control at this point. Just be patient and things will pan out.

At anyrate, thanks for coming, I hope you enjoyed yourself.

Exactly. There isn't much of a psytrance following in DC, but now we hope that we have converted ALOT of people to the dark side of the force. If ya know what I mean.

This is pretty much par for the course for most of the country, with things the way they currently are. 2am or 4am. You kind of take what you can get, and count yourself extremely lucky when you're able to attend an event that goes all night.
