I made it on a Novation hardware synth.

for a juicy kick i recommend ISM BAZZISM Vst.

im not sayin you cant make a decent kick on hardware because i had no problems on Pro12 or TI, but this Vst is for PsyTrance or progressive.

maybe u should bury your pride a get some software mate, serously bazzism is about 20qid.

cheers keep at it mate

what you could do is use a reverb as a send on the kick and bass but put an eq after the reverb to cut the lower part. This way only the higher freqs of the bass and kick have reverb. This might have a tighter effect than if you reverb the whole freq range.

I am not happy with my bass sounds. What do you recommend I should get for that?

hmm im usin a standard vat for my bass, any will do, aslong as the filter envelopes are tight and ocilators set to re-trig. basicly one Sawtooth one filter envelope and one cutoff filter.
and a unique processing chain. u will find one that sounds good to u if u keep at it.

cheers

You mean VST? I just got hold of vb-1 whcich I am getting results with. Also got hold of Cronox3. Seems quite good as well. The envelopes are tight on this. The filter isn't very nice sounding but I think is ok for psy bass.

Thanks for help, oh and what VST was it you used?

I will post my effort up later..coffee break over..back to work.

I used Energy Xt bridge to cubase a standard synth with two ocilators, i wuz my processing that got it sounding FAT. tube pre amps are good on sends with kick and bass together along with NOMADS AMP leveller with Eq of course
