rite im makin a track, and ive grouped the kick and bass with ozone4's stereo imager and reverb, with imager ive decreased the band one to complete narrow and the rest of bass and kick a little bit of imaging with sutle reverb at the rest of the bands, is this ok? sounds proper good tho.

band 1 is not widenend because of mono phases but is the rest ok?

cheers

please take the time to listen and tell me if there are any rules to where a little bit of reverb on kick bass send applies?

Nice one dude!To be honest, I've read over and over that reverb should never be used to either kick or bass, however, when I listen to commercial tunes, I am almost certain that I can hear just a bit of reverb, when only kick and bass are playing, which I don't know if it comes from reverb fx or loads of compression! In addition, back on Reason 3.0 days, one of the demo songs (Realization) used just a bit of reverb on the kick and turning on and off was making so much difference.Don't know how to properly explain it, but with reverb it sounded much sweeter and polished. The same goes to your track. Straightaway it sounded like a commercial tune, however I don't know if you used eq or compression on them. I would be really interested in having a snapshot of the ozone settings. Really liked it!           www.myspace.com/antlabros

i use a standard synth on energy XT - the filter envelopes are good, eq'd and sent to a bus along with the kick drum, the kick has intense eq treatment 3db boost 100hz,
-3db @300 same for 500hz to give punch and clarity , using urs N12 and fulltec .
kick was made from bazzism

both channels are now eq'd together to "Mix" and glue them together now they are one element.
choise of eqs - urs N12,Urs Fulltec, and pre amp emulator to give it the overall warmth.
(kick n bass group)

the subs are attunated @50hz the lo's mids are attunated @60hz 80hz, 160hz, 300hz
(bass channel)

as for the kickbass reverb was eq'd along with ozones stereo imager with band one
0hz-120hz in mono and band two stereo imaged sutly.

would like the patch from ozone 4? really simple but i cant screen print, aint gota a program to paste the pics, apart from word 2007

"used just a bit of reverb on the kick and turning on and off was making so much difference.Don't know how to properly explain it"

i think maybe sidechaining the reverb send from bass to kick would create the kinda suction on and off, might be wrong?

It's easy to save a screenshot! Press the 'PrintScreen' key on your keyboard, then open the standard paint program of windows and go Edit>Paste and that's all.If you could send the patch would be good, but also like to see youe eg and compressor settings if possible!Good work man!           www.myspace.com/antlabros

The kick is fine, although in my opinion it lacks a bit of punch, however it's difficult to say without a bassline going with it... Better make the bass with it and then reup both of them! Take care!           www.myspace.com/antlabros
