there are a bunch of us in indiana that have been waiting for this for months and months... were starving for some Psy here... lets make it happen. chicago is perfect!!! |

I had NO idea there used to be any kind of psy scene in chicago. If i had known that i would have been comin down a long time ago. psytrance runs in my veins, and i have long searched for something in the midwest. But unfortunatly i was never able to find anything and always resorted to djing at parties me and my friends would have. That was fun and all,but its not the same as playing at a club with a killer system though. I live about an hour away from chicago, but ive been livin in cape town south africa for the last 6 months. I would say the scene down here is fairly good sized. Ive been playing the local dj circuit and going to some wicked outdoor parties. Fuckin Absolum next week and then Sub 6 a few weeks later!!!!But after coming from nothing back home and being down here its really got me motivated to try and do alot when i come back in December. So if you guys need another dj to play i'm certainly down. And if not, ill come out to show some support. Peace.

Originally from NYC and now in Indianapolis,Indiana, I've been spinning since the 70's and was one of the first DJs to tour and have several club residences in Asia, specifically in Hong Kong and The Philippines in 1980. I have played all over the US under different DJ names and I am now Jeffrey Zion, a spanish/jew who plays goa/psytrance in the vein of Astral Projection, Infected Mushroom, MWNN, Planet BEN, etc and I am trying to start a psytrance scene here in Indianapolis with little luck. Too many househeads here but a large, diverse ethnic population that I think would be interested in a new musical genre instead of all the nonsense that is played here. Any Indiana Goa/Psytrance DJs who are interested and can help in this matter would be much appreciated.

Hey everybody...sorry to be out of the loop for so long, life has been crazy for me. Please fill me in on any developments in finding venues. Unfortunately, I am in Colorado so being present isn't possible. I can however pass along any info to the other half of our production company. Hope to get back on top of things quickly so talk to you all later...
