Respect is the term used to value oneself or others. It also could be applied to taking care of oneself, others or the environment. It adds general reliability to social interactions. It enables people to work together in a complimentary fashion, instead of each person having to understand or even agree with each other every time. Respect is very important to communities because it helps people get along with other people.

May you find what you seek           " All is One "

Give to get is the mantra, whatever given is recieved multiplied(law of nature)

When there is imbalance in natures harmony, then it takes it own course to balance it. Not everything should be taken granted, we as humans hav huge responsibilities as an awakened entity, life is not only about parties, drugs n sensual pleaures.

I know its not easy to get detached, one doesnt need to, but always remember Silence in the beginning n Silence in d end.

From the core of my heart i pray for wellbeing n right thinking for u all.

The only thing which resists ones development, growth, peace n happiness is his own self his own mind. No outside influence, power or circumstances can affect a person who has known this mystery

i have a question for psychoactive-
i see myself as absolutely being ''on the path'' - am a firm believer of the knowledge of the vedas, and in god (that secret word that noone wants to say anymore) and have literally changed my whole life to fit in accordance with these beliefs. nonetheless, it has to be said that my first spiritual experience and what eventually got me on this path, was a psychedelic one. at a party.
i dont see it as anything wrong (anyway, the profane and sacred are one) and whether the experience was ''natural'' or not, it was very real to me. psychedelic experiences are important because they break down all those years of conditioning - show you that everything you know is just learnt and not necessarily true. which makes you question things like what is 'right and wrong.
and it isnt just a dance party- its your body letting out all this repressed stuff which doesnt really have an outlet in the normal world (there is a meditation technique called latihan that encourages your body to just let go and do whatever it wants without any judgement) and its to this music thats so chaotic, allowing you to give expression to the chaos in our minds. the vighyan bhairav tantra actually talks of the benefits of chaotic music, like romantic music allows you to express repressed sexual or emotional feelings, trance allows you to express those parts of your mind that dont even have a name! and for sure there are psychoactive substances that are mind expanding and definitely not addictive, which also have an important role and a part to play in the experience.
i liken it to the very powerful deva in the vedas whose name is SOMA - im sure you are all familiar with it. the rigveda says:
We have drunk Soma and become immortal; we have attained the light, the Gods discovered.
it was an important part of the vedic rituals -
so, the question is, would you say that the use of psychoactive substances at a trance party is going against the spiritual path?

I have lived and got oppurtunity to share moments with great saints, who were perfect embodiment of supreme truth, there are different stages of evolving.

A child in junior level of education cannot write or understand theories. Same way an untrained, undisciplined, impure mind cannot know the truth or reality as sprituality begins above mind, after understanding the ways of mind.

Whatever vision, colour, sound, etc which u experience with or without substance is all illusion n a mere play of ur mind, it just excites ur mind n blood flow to the brain.

Go back to history, n give me one name of a great saint who has partied, taken substance n been what he was, or show me one book of sprituality, where it states the use of substances.

People hav not understood sprituality, they hav mistaken it too, long hairs, growing beards, colourful outfits, spirituality has nothing to do with this show business. Sprituality is a very simple thing, an inner experience, experience of ones own self.

Taking substances pollutes the mind, makes it weak, n overall makes one hyper. A pure n still mind is what required to advance in sprituality.

He who thinks himself different from the Guru is in duality. If u get attached to physical existence of any Guru or any object of worship, or any material thing you cannot get liberation.

Our Mind is within n our thoughts r also within, the questioner within is the disciple, n he who answers within is the Guru.
When the questioner gets all the satisfactory answers to his queries, he becomes silent.

Immortality is not a drink ... It is a state of mind . When you reach that higher state you realize that your true self always was and always will be immortal. It is only the body that perishes back to the 5 elements it rose from.

I can see where you are coming from Spazattack as I have questioned myself too on this matter as the feeling of spirituality and the quest for truth was complimented by the wonderful experiences of the trance world.

First we have to ask the question - How is that state reached?
Answer is Self Perfection. Self perfection through a diciplined life would make us more aware of the present and would stop the mind from wandering to the past and future.

Any intoxication agitates the mind away from its true state. Also, wanting to do a trip is a vasana (closest meaning for that in english would be desire) expressed through you which needs to be extinguished by performing the action towards it. Any Vasanas present in you would not let you see the ever present OM in yourself.

Also once a desire is expressed it gives a way to 10 more desires in its place... thats the way the human mind works and then we again go in search for those needs and its a neverending process... so ANY desire holds the same weight (may it be wanting a car or climbing the everest or use of intoxicants) as it keeps you tied down to objects of the world, feelings of the mind and thoughts of the intellect which is the world we percieve feel and think... and we want to reach that is beyond all that.

OFCOURSE, intoxicating ourselfs and attending parties is NOT the right path BUT,

IF that desire is so strong, express it. Go there, be done with it and come back! If everything else that you do is a selfless act , your everyday schedule is well disciplined and to an extent even your party culture is highly diciplined, I.E. you tell yourself 1 party a month and stick to that plan... you havent completely gone offcourse , its just gonna take us longer to get there.

These parties arent going to be a large part of our lives as we grow older, and if we have been as diciplined as we were from the begining about following this path, one day we will desire no more this intoxication too. Thats when we could tune in much more sharply with the final destination.

So dont upset yourself... self discipline takes years together to form a God-Man, and one day these petty things we will value no more.

Hope it helps.

Bala Boom.
