Reality vs Potential, Immedi8 vs Ultim8, Yoga vs Tantra..
It iz always better 2 start from the beginning, not the end, but the ego always hankers for a challenge.
The popularity of yoga vis-a-vis tantra cud b attributed to this 2.
In the spiritual realm tho, 'surrender' & 'let-go' cud b of immense value.
Ne takers??!

I am only aware of one reality .... first its birth then timepass then its death.... rest is brainwash...enjoy ur life to what you think it best could be for u..
but i see human race colonizing other landmarks or planets besides earth ..ya i do i do ... is that a way forward .....i dunno still.... is mediatation and spiritual existence a must ..or an escapist attitude in itself... i really don't care...

If timepass is the only meaning to this life... without a higher meaning for the 100 years between life and death, I have no more respect for the creator.
Only a 3rd rate producer can come up with something so random.
BUT, its not ... so Im happy 
And SwamiŽs and Great RishiŽs on the seat of contemplative meditation are as productive to and for this world as any one of us working in the objective world. They are masters of the inner world... and its not escapism mearly cause its not ignorance but its only after understanding the highest knowledge and having a direct experience of oneŽs self... they give up all worldy desires.
They are always connected with the unchangeable... while we are running after the ever changing.
If it was really an escapism act... do you really think they are smiling in front of us for the experience they had... and kinda envying us in their own head? hehehe... This great knowledge wouldve never survived 10000 years.

exactly! mumukshu got it - its all about yoga vis a vis tantra in the end - yoga and discipline have their place but i would think they are empty ideals unless you have been to other side and back. like osho said so well, a true saint is one who has lived the life he has chosen to renounce, not one who has disciplined himself against all these things he secretly yearns to try. we have been given this body and these senses to use them, to enjoy them - andmost importantly to do so without any guilt or fear.
"Go back to history, n give me one name of a great saint who has partied, taken substance n been what he was, or show me one book of sprituality, where it states the use of substances."
I wldve thought the countless mentions of Soma in the rigveda was example enough. What about the countless ancient civilisations across the world, from Africa to South America that use natural halucinogenic substances during their religious ceremonies? shamans were the first priests of humankind.
pls dont see this as some kind of banal rationalisation of the use of intoxicants, i am strictly talking of certain kinds of substances. and i definitely do not condone their everyday use, but used as serious spiritual excercies, i think they can do a world of good. tho eventually i know that true bliss can only be obtained thru training the mind and without any substance, i am only askingyou to see the importance of these experiences. |

You guys have mistaken the vedas, Soma was a symbol of spritual exctacy, experienced by the meditator, the divine nectar which resides in our body is also known as sperm, when one controls this vital energy in his body through living a controlled sex life, it rises towards the crown of the head.
An d then it gives immense power, control of mind n spritual bliss. |

EXACTLY my point what psycoactive is trying to say... Immortality is NOT a drink... its a state of mind!
It was never a drink... they never lost the plant as you speak... people in this world lost the relationship between themseleves and God's ... and thats the forgiveness they ask for.
As per your point of Osho... thats exactly what the vedanta says too.
It tells us to not lead the spirtual life unless we have faced the joys and sorrows of life! But it tells us to live it like a sportsman... you win some you lose some... but never take it personal... cause its all an illusion. So if you want intoxicants to be a part of this life before you take the spiritual path ... its neighter a ney or a yes... its upto you...
but intepreting the soma as a intoxicant is the first wrong step...
I misread your question at first...

Today i want to share a very important secret, which i know will b not acceptable to many, n people will also laugh at it, but its my duty to express the truth.
A person who lives a uncontrolled sex life, n engages himself n thinks a lot about sex, can never attain peace, wellbeing n optimum health.
Coz the vital energy in our body in gross form, which we waste during sexual activities, was actually bestowed to us by nature was to create noble childrens n progress the creation.
A person who controls this, will never need doctors, anti depressants or tonics, coz the semen in itself has immense power, when controlled gives positivity n energy to the system.
Many yogis, n masters never married for this same reason, but even if married, knew this secret, n lead a controlled life. A youth who wastes this vital energy for sensual pleasures, will become weak, depressed, sorrowful n unhealthy in due course of time, n he wil have no other option but to, visit doctors n hav a weak physical n mental self.
These people need psyciatrists, healers, mentors, coz they lose this vital energy. |

Tru, but suppressed sexuality ain't celibacy!
Like it or not, we were all born out of sex, so a condemnatory attitude towards it ain't never gonna help; besides, guilt is such a huge burden!
The beauty 'bout Tantra is that it's amoral. But contrary 2 wot most ppl think, it doesn't teach indulgence.
However, it did find that sex cud b used as a vehicle or a jumping board 2 'transcend'.
So there!

okay i knw these are facts too :
a very close friend of mine was a complete hallucinator and sumthing happened to him in goa winters 2005 and he gave up his businesses , went to tibet border in tabo , obviously gave up meat n alcohol n sex... now he came back with a beard, bird calling bowl and what not.... talks about stuff like can u look beyond , actions, karma and is quite spiritual..... does yoga joined isha foundation but i think he still is a nut case!!!
last weekend he got drunk ( thanks to me) ..... met a few chicks and man was he reformed.... he is now with a clean shave..... glowing..... looks happier

Unless that Direct Experience is not felt... everything worldly can over power the will to get there...cause the temptation is too high.
Newton waited 22 yrs till he figured gravity out... we dont have the patience to wait 5 yrs for the unspeakable to speak.
