deactivate the fades on Kick clip, if using Ableton? don't know, might be it if what you're getting is first one sounding different.
like your ES-1 and ES-2 bass sounds btw, ES-1 is a good representation of what's peculiar about the machine to me. some others here, couldn't connect them to the machines used if there was no names attached, Virus being the one I'd surely miss. we all seem to go different ways with the same machines and that's what I've learned from this thread, more then anything else.
there's no real science behind what we're doing here. but it's very cool to listen to what other people consider a nice sounding patch before post processing it, seeing all the different tweaks and tastes.
