I'v been there 3 years a go. It was mxed crowd. great people and some less. I thought there were too many Dj's and each has only 1-1.5 hour to play so they are not really into the party. However last year they changed the dates and I heard it was really good (for such big party). I think because it longer and fall on special holiday inwhich many people go back to their parents home.
Generly even when the crowd is bad it is still japan and most people do beheave well.
It is mauch better to go to small ones like Brainbuster, Earth energy or Dotmafia.

quote 1."avoid some parties that attract a special crowd from a certain country".
quote 2."keep all of your valuables with you (dont leave even in your tent or bungalow)... especially if you go to a full on party with artists from a particular country..."
Can you light my eyes?
What the hell are you talking about?

OK, lets say it clear so we can have a proper discussion.

I think what some people are trying to say is that the israeli generic "pop" full-on style is attracting a young bad mannered crowd in Japan. I said this before but I think it was wrong and too simplistic. Its too easy to say Israeli full-on parties bring a bad crowd in Japan... I think it depends on the organizer. I have been to some parties with non-israeli full-on acts that have had terrible people.

And the big party argument is wrong too. Sure, you are more likely to have more idiots at a big party but I think if you go with friends and keep your valuables safe... you can ignore the idiots and enjoy the big party atmosphere and music in your group of friends.

Underground parties are probably better but even some of these can have bad people...

I think the gyaru / gyaruo crowd are attracted by the shiny pop style promotion image... like artists "rock" posing in leather jackets and sunglasses kind of advertising or flyers with half naked girls on the front... etc.

But psytrance is changing and some people like this... who am I to tell them what is good... each to their own.           The music was like new black polished chrome
that came over the sky like liquid night.

Thanx ken (-: I got what you mean.
I think that artists who want to come to play in Japan (and get A LOT of money...) make pop trance...
And why not? people all around the world see that this genre is attrackting so many people here...its a fine way to make a living

Ok, cosmochan. I was talking about some guys from a latin america country who take advantage of psy parties being usually in the woods, in the dark, cars parked out of sight of the owners and then they steal whatever valuables they find inside. Or they steal things from the tents. Just like has happened in big events with pop full-on in the line-up. The saddest thing however, is that they go to these parties not for the fun of it, but the sole intetion of stealing. And for those saying that I am especulating of being prejudiced, I´ve been offered some clothing by a guy I know which were clearly not his (he knows I regularly buy Tribe clothing). When I pointed that those were not his, he confessed he had ¨found¨ them along with a wallet. Or, being clear, he stole it. Later I heard that there happened a series of break-ins and tents rip-ins. Sad, but true.

In Israel this thieves stay in parties since I know myself...
Its so sad that the scene here adopts so many bad things from other countries...

The Mother lads speak and write English quite well. I'm sure they're happy to answer your questions in detail. Their website is http://mother.bz and I'm sure they'll have email contact there too.

The hotels are all out of the actual venue site but you can catch the chair lift up from the town and it drops you right next to the dancefloor.           The music was like new black polished chrome
that came over the sky like liquid night.

since we cannot get much psy trance in USA, my bf really wants to go big psy trance rave once in his life,

ya know this is all i heard whilst living in japan, how USA does not have good psy following. Being that i got into psy in japan and knew i was leaving for USA i was pretty bummed. What i came to find out was there is an AWESOME psy family in USA, just parties dont bring 2,000 people. And for this i am very happy. I like to go to a party with a couple, few hundred people. Feels more like family. Okinawa has great psy family. My family was accepted by okinawa psy family like one of them. And i was even military guyjin! I LOVE the psy family in OKI! Trance pool, Keystone, etc.
