Nihilism.
–noun
1. total rejection of established laws and institutions.
2. anarchy, terrorism, or other revolutionary activity.
3. total and absolute destructiveness, esp. toward the world at large and including oneself: the power-mad nihilism that marked Hitler's last years.
4. Philosophy. a. an extreme form of skepticism: the denial of all real existence or the possibility of an objective basis for truth.
b. nothingness or nonexistence.
5. (sometimes initial capital letter) the principles of a Russian revolutionary group, active in the latter half of the 19th century, holding that existing social and political institutions must be destroyed in order to clear the way for a new state of society and employing extreme measures, including terrorism and assassination.
6. annihilation of the self, or the individual consciousness, esp. as an aspect of mystical experience.

Isn't it amazing how one word like "Nihilism" can have so many different meanings for context? So it's easy to see how someone can take an old, past, personal conversation out of context, and try to use it to defend himself in a conversation that didn't even pertain to me in this juncture. It's in my view and belief that Basalisk's comment was pertaining to definition #3. In my case, any attribution to my self with the world nihilist (which may I truthfully clarify that I am not a self-proclaimed nihilist) was in context with definition #6. The funny thing is anyone who truly knows me can easily say I'm far from a Nihilist like, for example, the guys in the movie The Big Lebowski.  If anything, I'm The Dude, dude.  "And this aggression will not stand, man."
It's back to chilling for me, everyone.

Clarification is coming, on all matters. I am taking some time away from Isratrance to collect my thoughts, write them down as effectively as I have (pretty good, I think personally), and make them MORE effective in the future. I have nothing but thoughts of freedom from tyrrany, destruction, hurting people, and general human unpleasantry. I want to offer positivity to all. I want to make my life, the lives of people close to me, the lives of people who have earned my respect, and the lives of a whole lot of other people much better. I may sound like Emperor Palpatine here, but I have seen the dark side, do not fear it, and will not succumb to it.
I do not believe Hitler or nihilists share this vision of mine, but I am working VERY hard to bring my vision to crystal clarity for as many people as possible. I am working very hard to show that the only weapons I use are words and ideas, and that everyone has a free mind to process them however we wish. I offer a commitment of love, respect, and understanding for whoever I can rationally offer it to, with no fear, bitterness, etc.
I will bring Global Trance Network to fruition and make it a powerfully strong intellectual FORCE in combatting the loss of freedom, life, and other liberties that we are all facing, again, whether we want to face them or not.
I have let all fear, bitterness, insecurity, doubt, hatred, sadness, etc within my own person DIE. KNOW THIS. I can and will bring good things to the world and work to ensure freedom of expression, ideas, dancing, and all the other things we all believe in (whether we can agree or not). I will take my show on the road and fight in Washington, if I have to. I think I can do it.
If there ever is a Trance War of any kind (which I am not proposing here or in the Global Trance Domination Project thread, really, AM NOT), I will let you know that I will be your intellectual soldier on any intellectual battlefield where any sort of war for the freedom to trance is waged. |
