There is no such association. Quasga/Androcell is not affiliated with Overmind Works in any way, shape or form. He is no longer speaking to Nick Synergy, nor Nick Synergy to him, and this will officially be the last time that I go to bat for him, try to get him booked, try to share his music with the world, or do anything I can to help him. This will be the last time I ever utter his name publicly or privately. He wishes to be dead to me, and I to him, and I will give him what he wants.
I will STILL buy his music, and I will STILL support promoters who book him by traveling to their shows and paying hard-earned money for a ticket. I will watch, listen, and admire - from a distance. I will do this for him, and for all of you, in spiritual and intellectual payment for all that he has given me and all he has done to enrich my life. It WILL happen.

I was planning to come play an event as a friend for friends, to share music from my collection as a DJ (even though I'm not), in a wonderful desert location. I had asked this crew to list me as Quasga, so as to not confuse anyone with the Androcell name, giving them the impression that I was playing Androcell music. This was disregarded and I was listed to be playing as Androcell on both this website and the Overmindworks website. I found this to be disrespectful and going against what I had requested. I totally overlooked it until I indirectly received blatant disrespect from Nick Syngery, despite any psuedo-praise from him that has been posted around these forums. He basically told me to F@$% off for coming to him as a friend and telling him to fine-tune this new found enthusiastic and ecstatic energy in order to acheive what he is after. He misinterpreted almost everything I said, and tried to turn it around on me. I'm sure he'll be quick to defend himself here but it really all adds up to another bad promoter story to put in my book with all the others that seem to happen every other time I lend my efforts to an event.
The point is, I don't want to contribute to his new manic approach to everything, and make him feel that I support this unbridled behavior by contributed to his associated crew's party. Nor do I have time to waste on such detrimental exercises.
I am not a trance trooper, never will be, and refuse to be used as a latrine. 
Self-control and Balance are key to me.
Sorry to have to add to the drama, but I want to let anyone who might have cared that I will not be playing at this event. I just wanted to set the record straight so no one is under false impressions about the party lineup.

No disrepect intended, man. When I talked to Micah before posting you on the linep I specifically asked if you were to be listed as Quasga or Androcell. Thinking (correctly) that you would prefer Quasga. But Micah told me Androcell. Maybe I was just confused. Or maybe Micah was. But regardless, I know this is not why you decided not to play the party. And and I respect your decision to cancel your booking. I just wanted to set the record straight, as Overmind Works' webmaster, and let you know that your interests and requests are taken seriously by myself and the rest of the crew.

Well, speaking of misinterpretation, it is obviously mutual. I told you to fuck off in the British sense. But whatever.
Let it be known that I hereby grant Quasga license to talk shit on me, tell promoters not to book me, put me on his "bad list," or whatever he wants to do to smear my name. I will STILL buy his music, unless he forbids me somehow, and I'll respect that too. I hope one day to resolve this misunderstanding and prove that I am not a maniac, but I doubt that will happen. This "pseudo-praise" he mentions is not false or dishonest or misaligned in any way. If he can't see that, he can choose to fuck off (which means to leave the room, the area, whatever) and ignore me for as long as he wants.
I appreciate his desire to have me "fine-tune," and I WILL. Not for him, but for me. I will take the insight he has chosen to impart and implement it. I will give him whatever space he needs to let his own truth resonate, as it HAS in fact resonated with me.
Just for the record, you don't have to be a trance trooper for me to respect you and your wishes.
So there you go, Quasga. It HAS been a pleasure knowing you and I look forward to being able to witness the great things you will do, if only from afar.
You can take it all as insincere if you want, but I mean what I say and say what I mean. The sincerity only has to be proven by me, TO me.

Sorry to throw a monkey wrench into your (overmind) works here, but it is precisely this sort of unnecessary drama that creates disillusionment within a movement which you profess to hold dear. I suggest you gather some perspective and reconsider your methodology, as this is not helping you or anyone else.

Yes, well, if I have to burn a few bridges to build a lot more, I will suck it up and deal with it. I appreciate your lack of respect for me right now. I am trying as hard as I can. Perhaps no one sees that, and I *don't* think I have done any detriment to Overmind Works, but I will hear their statements and respect their right to sever ties with me if they wish. I will do things on my own if I have to. I will throw quality events and have no one show up, if that's what they want. |
