I don't see any purpose in life whatsoever. True, we are here, with all our faults and all our potentials, so we can evolve into super conscious beings. But I really don't see any purpose in that at all. So I make my own purpose, I just enjoy it all as much as I possibly can...

Maybe Douglas Adams was right. Maybe we are components of a biological super computer designed to find the question to the answer of life, or something like that.... Like how the spiritually inclined folks put it: we are part of a greater universal consciousness experiencing itself through each individual...

I enjoy life, in as many myriads as possible, I enjoy a good party, good times with friends, good food, I really enjoy when a track fits just right, I enjoy most of all love for all things, and when there is total silence, until my ego button gets hit... again...
oh and yes, I really enjoy good sex also!
I guess it is a learning process!

The purpose of life? Which life are we talking about? Could it be the purpose of human existance? Or the direction of life as a form of progress within the whole?
Though we can predict that we are part of this idea of whole, we sure run sort of knowledge (awareness) to understand the full equation of where we stand.
I was reading someone stating that the purpose of life is to do good. But we only possess our notion of good or if you prefer what we as a species developed (ethically) as being good or bad. I sense we dont understand if a determinate action is actually good in the sense of the whole. What can be perceveid as good to us (generally speaking) doesnt, maybe, carry the same weight, for lets say the broader scheme of life as part of the whole or as being the whole itself.
That being said i´m currently more interested in trying to at least visualize a glimpse of the frontier between the idea of life (us) and life (whole), before trying to understand the purpose inscripted in it.
It´s focusing first in what and only after in why...

well maybe we are just created in the nothing and nothing really has any rules or meaning and we are the ones who decide this....
The term feeling good is a term used for joy and happy feelings..
The term feeling bad is a term used for feeling regret and pain for actions that led to it! or feeling bad cause of bad actions done by others to you or someone else.. hmm hehe, just want to part the two terms, even if i know we agree on them... just for the sake of the discussion
So this whole life thing, not we as humans but the whole thing probably dont care a bit about our feelings and our minds(brain) constitution
Thinking about "the greater" plan wont get you anywhere, listening to people of likes of Socrates and others who has pretty decent views on ethics and good ways of life is probably a good thing, of course you can do evil, which we have decided is bad things and feel good about them.... but certainly you have somekind of anger towards something to get good feelings about that.. and most probably somebody has treated you in that way for you to act that way... but in the long run when you start to wake up from your hurted ego you will feel pain..
but maybe i dont fully understand you Ellon, as we could define things as we wish and draw strange lines and imagine things in many different ways.
but maybe you question the whole good and bad thing? maybe its a paradox, and its for certain a human concept..
about the whole life thing i dont have a clue, if you have one feel free to share
