Psytrance vs other genres

I dont prefer any genre above other. I really love good music, from classic to psytrance to rock to soundtracks, whatever is good to my ears - I LIKE.
But psytrance has one big advantage, its the best music to dance and fly to different dimentions. Just loose your mind and flow on the waves that come out of the speakers....

Dude u cant ... in all due respect to other genres....
Its easy 2 understand rock,jazz,hip hop and many genres as they have lyrics and by the lyrics we know the emotion of the song
In trance no one can figure out so soon what the fuck is beating all the time and strange noises bong the ppl....
Psy means pure psy...
For me it took nearly 3 yrs to understand this musik ( Psy trance)...
And other genres are realy not much of my intrest as u sad..
Now michael jackson sang the song "beat it" or say britney sang "toxic"... now to be in tht state of mind except for trance u relate it well and even a 12 or 10 yr boy can understand hip hop and jazz or the mighty rock...
We are talking about Psychedellic stufffff...

cubase books and all those) ! But sure i saw some
Jaze and rock and all the others . All this (Other)
styles got they definitions , I mean when im
playing samba on my drums and i go out from the
rhythm always they will find some ppls that will say
Hey man .. You are playing disko . Now u got it ?

Every thing has its own style ....
Well i can say psytrance can be compared to commercial trance....(paul van dyke stuff .. )
Both go almost in the same flow...
eccept for strange gothic noises tht psytance has...
Like rock has got so many cateogerys in em.. like death,soft, hard , heavy metal n stuff....
Trance =Psy chedellic trance ,commercial trance , ambient spiritual stuff..instrumental stuff....
....................
Its just cateogarized by the style and what the musik means...

IMO, psyambient and downtempo music give psy a run for its money. Some Psyambient, these days, is more fucking psychedelic than psytrance. It seems like alot of psytrance lost its psychedelic flavor. Downtempo music is just really great to chill to. Sometimes when I don't feel like doing mathematical proofs or any fucking thing known to man, I can just relax and chill to the smooth vibrations of the music.
I personally hate mainstream trance. To me, it has no substance. It's mostly just a sawtooh wave with some resonance, combined with a nonexistent bassline, and a kick and hihat going along with the tune. Why people enjoy this is beyond my logic.
When I first started listening to trance, I dabbled in a little of the mainstream trance(not alot of it though) as well as the psytrance. What turned me onto psy is
the sheer amount of activity going on in most of the music. I don't see how electronic music listeners could not be attracted to this feature. In due time, mainstream trance became yesterday's news for me.
Besides those, I think most electronic music is good in its very own right. House music, what I first started listening to, will always be great IMO. It's just very saxy music, LOL. DNB is good too. I love DNB with soulful melodies. Happy Hardcore just sucks balls(sorry to whomever likes it).
As far as regular pop music goes, Not my cup of coffee. Psytrance is millions of light years ahead of this. Hell, probably at the edge of the universe IMO.
It should be noted that I have always been a fan of video game music since I was 5 years old(I'm 24 now). I've been playing video games since 5. So I guess that implies that I have always been an avid electronic music listener. Games like final fantasy, Castlevania:SOTN, Panzer Dragoon, Nights, etc all had fantastic soundtracks. IMO, alot of video game music blows psytrance away. Not the shit from games such as gran turismo 4, but the original music that musicians create. Many of you should give some video game music a chance. You might like what you hear.
Classical music is the music of the gods. I don't listen to too much of it mainly because alot of piano music has a tendency to make me cry. Chopin, IMO, will always be the greatest piano composer who walked the face of the earth. I love Aaron Copland to. That guy is great. I'm pretty sure most of you have listened to Appalachian Spring. That shit is just full blown amazing.
I also like gregorian chant. That stuff is a work of art.

psyrock - velvet underground, the mutants
jazz- kruder and dorfmeister, medeski martin and wood.....
SOUL- nina simone, al green
HIP HOP- immortal technique, aesaop rock
AMBIENT. ..........
I LOVE PSY TRANCE DONT GET ME WRONG, but sometimes the same beats in every song makes me turn it off |
