I like psytrance more than anything but there are things i like and things that i hate and i would never give a chance to.
That is Tiesto type of trance. It's just not for me.
And there is something that i can't describe really. It's really stupid and lacks quality. I'd call it "hard house" but it's not really house. It's something between house and melodic trance with distorted kicks and lots of snares and vocals. American DJs spin that kind of musc and the people who LOVE this music sometimes wonder off in our parties 
I also like minimal, ambient, dnb and electro/click/mictro house. |

It would be wrong to say only psytrance is good, for sure it's where we get our main kicks from but there are other electronic beats which are also fat! Just as you can't spend your whole time tripping you can't spend your whole time listening to psytrance- that would be like spending your whole life with only one chick! There are many flavours!

I guess we don't have the same definition at all of "hardouse", robotmarket.. According to your description i'd call this "clubhouse" or "vocalhouse"..
Hardhouse in my mind is in example stuff spinned by Peace Division and the likes..

Psychedelic Trance is whatever Trance Inducing music is being played within the Psychedelic Culture.
If we asked all of you who write in this thread "What is psychedelic trance?" most of you wouldnt even agree on what it was.
What you can agree on is that you love it and its the best (almost all say that).
I just love good music, and I dont care what its called. In my eyes, good music is always psychedelic - and calling something "psychedelic trance" doesnt make it psychedelic at all. (Just brands it).
I also love the psychedelic culture. Which is more important to me really.
But, most brand name "Psychedelic Trance" is utterly crappy in my ears and it sucks as much as britney spears - Perhaps even more so since I will try to listen to it and understand it just because it is "Psychedelic Trance".

Well, I really like most the "feeling" psy trance transmits.
Its a misterious feeling, free to bounce to unknown territories, and you never know what to expect. Every track has its own feeling, but I would say the majority of psy music shares some kind of "mistery"...
Most house comercial music gives me a "club" night feeling, most the tracks and even lirics are about love bla bla bla, cheesy samples and the "feeling" about it i would describe as "seduction" rather than "mistery". Seduction plays a big role in clubbing nightlife, and these tracks are much more pointed in that direction, rather that pointing into the misterious and the unknown.
And donŽt take me wrong, I love Israeli morning music, its my favourite, and within the lines of the music I produce myself...
But there is a diference in the kind of "love" a morning psy track induces, and the "love" a great house track induce. Psy morning melodic is about pure love, love for the earth, for the living, for everything and everyone around us, house music induces more the carnal love, is more sex related I would say, maybe its only me and my opinion...
I donŽt go into techno because iŽm really not into it...I really donŽt get those techno babies scene maybe someone would care to explain what thats all about...
And I'm talking about general aspects...as in all cases there are exceptions to the rules, timeless house tracks, techno tracks and psy tracks. Also as music expands some lines dividing some genres are getting thinner and thinner, we get some tracks which are appealling to different kinds of crowd, some housy psy and some house with a psy twist...
But for me the main diference is about what it transmits...psy music is about the individual and its connection to the whole world around him, house music is about the individual and someone to shag that night
well, there goes my opinion...I guess I could write about it all afternoon...hehe...but iŽll stop here.

I dont like all this discussion of psy is better then other genre or why psy rocks or why we listen to psy....
All music are good. You need to get deep into it to understand. Same for Psy Trance and Indian Classical music.
I like Psy trance because i could connect to it. My father listens to Classical and cant stand Psy. I used to listen to heavy metal and i still listen to it. Heavy metal is best with b33r.

Man, I like all kind of music, non or eletronic music, but psychedelic trance puts you a state of mind, energy, very unique. All kind of music does that in different ways and different persons. But psytrance has a magic flavour on it...for sure. Depends of wich artist of course, there are some psytrace artits that sucks, im my opnion.
